  •    Java

The aws-serverless-java-container is collection of interfaces and their implementations that let you run Java application written with frameworks such as Jersey or Spark in AWS Lambda. The library contains a core artifact called aws-serverless-java-container-core that defines the interfaces and base classes required as well as default implementation of the Java servlet HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse. The library also includes two initial implementations of the interfaces to support Jersey apps (aws-serverless-java-container-jersey) and Spark (aws-serverless-java-container-spark).

sparklens - Qubole Sparklens tool for performance tuning Apache Spark

  •    Scala

Sparklens is a profiling tool for Spark with built-in Spark Scheduler simulator. Its primary goal is to make it easy to understand the scalability limits of spark applications. It helps in understanding how efficiently is a given spark application using the compute resources provided to it. May be your application will run faster with more executors and may be it wont. Sparklens can answer this question by looking at a single run of your application. It helps you narrow down to few stages (or driver, or skew or lack of tasks) which are limiting your application from scaling out and provides contextual information about what could be going wrong with these stages. Primarily it helps you approach spark application tuning as a well defined method/process instead of something you learn by trial and error, saving both developer and compute time.

sparkjava-boilerplate - Proper boilerplate project for Spark - micro framework for creating web apps in Java 8 with minimal effort

  •    Java

This is a boilerplate project for developing lightweight web apps with Spark- a micro framework for creating web apps in Java 8 with minimal effort. This project contains simple implementations of commonly needed features like localization and authorization with simple role based security. The file structure is organized using a "package by feature" style, which has advantages over the standard "package by layer" approach, which is used everywhere. On the client side we have Skeleton- a dead simple, responsive boilerplate for front-end that can be easily replaced by more complex solutions like Bootstrap, Foundation, MDL or whatever you want. All view templates are managed by the Apache Velocity template engine. It's simple, fast, and provides much more flexibility than rusty Java Server Pages. Also, for convenience, testing and simpler object construction used Google Guice, but it can be easily removed if you prefer to do everything yourself.

microframeworks-showcase - A simple grocery list webapplication implemented with the Microframeworks Spark Java, Jodd, Ninja, Javalite, Pippo and Ratpack

  •    Java

This Java/Gradle based repository illustrates a selection of Java-based microframeworks. It implements a functionally identical grocery list application with Spark, Ninja, Ratpack, Jodd, Pippo, JavaLite, and a few others.
