This Python package defines a PlantUML cell magic for IPython. It lets you generate UML diagrams as inline SVG in your notebook. I'll add embellishments as needed. But, for now, I just needed something that worked and existed as a package (in pypi). I based my code on Steven Burke's plantuml gist.

asciidoctor-plantuml

The extension tries to mimic behaviour of [plantuml] block from Asciidoctor Diagram as close as possible. Positional and named attributes are working as for original exension. Also PNG and SVG formats are supported. Unlike Asciidoctor Diagram, the extension uses PlantUML server for displaying images. Inside image tags produced by it, the src attribute contains a link to PlantUML server.

plantuml - PlantUML Plugin for Redmine

This plugin will allow adding PlantUML diagrams into Redmine. Since all files are written out to the system, there is no safe way to prevent editors from using the !include command inside the code block. Therefore every input will be sanitited before writing out the .pu files for further interpretation. You can overcome this by activating the Setting.plugin_plantuml['allow_includes'] Attention: this is dangerous, since all files will become accessible on the host system.

plantuml2mysql - This utility parses PlantUML class diagram and generate SQL DDL for MySQL

I liked plantuml tool for UML diagrams but use it also for visualizing structure of relational database. This script loads plantuml class diagram and generates DDL for MySQL SQL dialect. You may define primary keys with # prefix in field name (it means protected field in PlantUML) and define index fields with + (public field in PlantUML) prefix. Field type noted after field name as is. Also you may use comments after --.
