A simple, responsive web interface to control wifi, hostapd and related services on the Raspberry Pi. This project was inspired by a blog post by SirLagz about using a web page rather than ssh to configure wifi and hostapd settings on the Raspberry Pi. I mostly just prettified the UI by wrapping it in SB Admin 2, a Bootstrap based admin theme. Since then, the project has evolved to include greater control over many aspects of a networked RPi, better security, authentication, a Quick Installer, support for themes and more. RaspAP has been featured on sites such as Instructables, Adafruit, Raspberry Pi Weekly and Awesome Raspberry Pi and implemented in countless projects.

Aircrack-ng is a complete suite of tools to assess WiFi network security. All tools are command line which allows for heavy scripting. A lot of GUIs have taken advantage of this feature. RouteryPi - RouteryPi is a simple WiFi access point made out of a Raspberry Pi Zero W.

You will also need Python (my scripts use 2.7) if you have some LEDs and want to easily program them like status LEDs. If you aim to do something like that be ready to also install python-pip and some packages like psutil. The heart of this whole installation will be 'hostapd' and 'bridge-utils' because we will be using the Pi as a network bridge between the LAN and WiFi. This means that you will need an additonal DHCP and DNS server. Nevertheless, this simplifies the whole installation a lot and makes it less error-prone. If you already have a router (which I assume you do) you can connect it with your RouteryPi and everything will work out of the box.

Update: Looking for contributors. IOT Wifi is very small/8MB Docker Container built for the Raspberry Pi 3. IOT Wifi exposes a simple JSON based REST API for controlling the wireless network interface. This container allows the Raspberry Pi to accept wifi connections as an access point (aka AP) while at the same time connecting to an existing wifi network (station mode).
