secrets-in-serverless - A collection of examples for doing secrets management in serverless lambda or cloud functions

  •    Go

This repository contains a collection of samples and examples for managing secrets in serverless lambda applications and cloud functions. The samples correspond to my Secrets in Serverless blog post. There are examples in Go, Node, and Python for each of the examples. The examples use Google Cloud Functions, but the concepts are largely applicable to other serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.

cloudfunc - deploying Google Cloud Functions written in Golang with ease

CloudFunc is a command line tool (cli) that deploys Google Cloud Functions with ease. It uses node.js shim to wrap the Go binary as the Cloud Functions only support Node at the moment. Please follow gcloud sdk installation notes in case you don't have the gcloud command.

hangouts-chat-samples - Chat Bot Samples for Hangouts Chat.

  •    Python

This repository contains the code samples for Hangouts Chat bots. There are folders of samples dependent on language and platform. Generally the Java and Python samples live in each respective directory, but JavaScript has multiple form factors (client-side, server-side/Node.js, Google Apps Script [also server side], and Cloud Functions [GCP or Firebase]). Which JS platform you choose depends on the type of bot application you're using/writing. Apps Script features tighter integration with G Suite data and applications, while Google Cloud Functions has a tighter integration with Google Cloud Platform services and APIs. Finally, mobile apps or mobile web apps are more likely to want to take advantage of Cloud Functions for Firebase. It is also generally straightforward to port from one JS implementation to another, for example, to Node.js.

ibm-cloud-functions-refarch-serverless-image-recognition - Classify images as soon as you upload them in a database with serverless functions

  •    Javascript

The application demonstrates an IBM Cloud Functions (based on Apache OpenWhisk) that gets an image from the Cloudant database and classifies it through Watson Visual Recognition. The use case demonstrates how actions work with data services and execute logic in response to Cloudant events. One function, or action, is triggered by changes (in this use case, an upload of a document) in a Cloudant database. These documents are piped to another action that submits the image to Watson Visual recognition and upload a new document in Cloudant with the classifiers produced by Watson.
