KinoMotion - Motion blur post-processing effect for Unity

Motion is a post-processing effect that simulates motion blur caused by object/camera movement. Rendering motion vector texture requires the RGHalf texture format. It's supported on most of the desktop/console platform, but rarely supported on the mobile devices.

consistent_depth - We estimate dense, flicker-free, geometrically consistent depth from monocular video, for example hand-held cell phone video

We present an algorithm for reconstructing dense, geometrically consistent depth for all pixels in a monocular video. We leverage a conventional structure-from-motion reconstruction to establish geometric constraints on pixels in the video. Unlike the ad-hoc priors in classical reconstruction, we use a learning-based prior, i.e., a convolutional neural network trained for single-image depth estimation. At test time, we fine-tune this network to satisfy the geometric constraints of a particular input video, while retaining its ability to synthesize plausible depth details in parts of the video that are less constrained. We show through quantitative validation that our method achieves higher accuracy and a higher degree of geometric consistency than previous monocular reconstruction methods. Visually, our results appear more stable. Our algorithm is able to handle challenging hand-held captured input videos with a moderate degree of dynamic motion. The improved quality of the reconstruction enables several applications, such as scene reconstruction and advanced video-based visual effects. ASMediaFocusManager - iOS library to animate your image and video thumbnails to fullscreen.

ASMediaFocusManager gives the ability to focus on any thumbnail image or video by a simple tap. The thumbnail image is automatically animated to a focused fullscreen image view or video player. Another tap on the 'Done' button shrinks (or defocuses) the image back to its initial position. Each thumbnail image view may have its own transform, the focus and defocus animations take care of any initial transform.

Real-SR - Real-World Super-Resolution via Kernel Estimation and Noise Injection

Our solution is the winner of CVPR NTIRE 2020 Challenge on Real-World Super-Resolution in both tracks. Recent state-of-the-art super-resolution methods have achieved impressive performance on ideal datasets regardless of blur and noise. However, these methods always fail in real-world image super-resolution, since most of them adopt simple bicubic downsampling from high-quality images to construct Low-Resolution (LR) and High-Resolution (HR) pairs for training which may lose track of frequency-related details. To address this issue, we focus on designing a novel degradation framework for real-world images by estimating various blur kernels as well as real noise distributions. Based on our novel degradation framework, we can acquire LR images sharing a common domain with real-world images. Then, we propose a real-world super-resolution model aiming at better perception. Extensive experiments on synthetic noise data and real-world images demonstrate that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, resulting in lower noise and better visual quality. In addition, our method is the winner of NTIRE 2020 Challenge on both tracks of Real-World Super-Resolution, which significantly outperforms other competitors by large margins.

Hierarchical-Localization - Visual localization made easy with hloc

This is an optional feature that will automatically store every snapshot taken to your Google Drive account as a photo. This is very useful if you have motion sensor in the same room as the camera, as it will take a snapshot of whatever caused the motion sensor to trigger, and store the image on Google Drive and create a Picture Notification on your iOS device. The snapshots are stored in a folder called "Camera Pictures", and are named with camera name, date and time of the image.

elevation_mapping - Robot-centric elevation mapping for rough terrain navigation

This is a ROS package developed for elevation mapping with a mobile robot. The software is designed for (local) navigation tasks with robots which are equipped with a pose estimation (e.g. IMU & odometry) and a distance sensor (e.g. structured light (Kinect, RealSense), laser range sensor, stereo camera). The provided elevation map is limited around the robot and reflects the pose uncertainty that is aggregated through the motion of the robot (robot-centric mapping). This method is developed to explicitly handle drift of the robot pose estimation. This is research code, expect that it changes often and any fitness for a particular purpose is disclaimed.
