bulletproofs - Bulletproofs are short non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that require no trusted setup

  •    Haskell

Bulletproofs are short zero-knowledge arguments of knowledge that do not require a trusted setup. Argument systems are proof systems with computational soundness. Bulletproofs are suitable for proving statements on committed values, such as range proofs, verifiable suffles, arithmetic circuits, etc. They rely on the discrete logarithmic assumption and are made non-interactive using the Fiat-Shamir heuristic.

Tox - The future of online communications.

  •    C

With the rise of government surveillance programs, Tox, a FOSS initiative, aims to be an easy to use, all-in-one communication platform that ensures full privacy and secure message delivery. Tox must use UDP simply because hole punching with TCP is not as reliable. However, Tox does use TCP relays as a fallback if it encounters a firewall that prevents UDP hole punching.

node-scrypt - Scrypt for Node

  •    C

Scrypt for Node/IO is a native node/io C++ wrapper for Colin Percival's scrypt cryptographic hash utility. As should be the case with any security tool, this library should be scrutinized by anyone using it. If you find or suspect an issue with the code- please bring it to my attention and I'll spend some time trying to make sure that this tool is as secure as possible.

cryptojs - Following googlecode project crypto-js, provide standard and secure cryptographic algorithms for NodeJS

  •    Javascript

Following googlecode project crypto-js, provide standard and secure cryptographic algorithms for NodeJS. Support MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, RC4, Rabbit, AES, DES, PBKDF2, HMAC, OFB, CFB, CTR, CBC, Base64

telehash-js - telehash javascript module for node.js and browserify

  •    Javascript

This module presents a simple high-level API for using telehash v3 for both node and browserify. The browser crypto that powers this is only possible thanks to the incredible work done by the team behind Forge, Tom Wu, and the Sanford Javascript Crypto Library.

datBase - Open data powered by Dat

  •    Javascript

Open data powered by Dat. Future-friendly apps for your research data pipeline. Hosted at http://datbase.org. Each deployment should have a different secret key. You want to set the secret key for generating password hashes and salts.

libsodium.js - libsodium compiled to Webassembly and pure JavaScript, with convenient wrappers

  •    HTML

The sodium crypto library compiled to WebAssembly and pure Javascript using Emscripten, with automatically generated wrappers to make it easy to use in web applications. The complete library weights 188 Kb (minified, gzipped, includes pure js + webassembly versions) and can run in a web browser as well as server-side.

CryptoJS - This is unmodified copy of Google Code hosted CryptoJS project

  •    Javascript

This repo is straight unmodified-in-any-way copy of Google Code hosted CryptoJS project at https://code.google.com/p/crypto-js/ . This is hosted at github to add bower package so future updates can be managed better. If you are not using bower then just include the .js file from rollups folder for whatever algorithm you want to use. UTF8 encoder is included in each rollup js. If you need UTF16 or Base64 encoder then also add corresponding files from components folder (see following example).

node.bcrypt.js - bcrypt for NodeJs

First, make sure that the version of node you are using is a stable version. You'll know this because it'll have an even major release number. We do not currently support unstable versions and while the module may happen to work on some unstable versions you'll find that we quickly close issues if you're not using a stable version. If you are on a stable version of node, we can't magically know what you are doing to expose an issue, it is best if you provide a snippet of code or log files if you're having an install issue. This snippet need not include your secret sauce, but it must replicate the issue you are describing. The issues that get closed without resolution tend to be the ones that don't help us help you. Thanks.

featherduster - An automated, modular cryptanalysis tool; i.e., a Weapon of Math Destruction

  •    Python

FeatherDuster is a tool written by Daniel "unicornfurnace" Crowley of NCC Group for breaking crypto which tries to make the process of identifying and exploiting weak cryptosystems as easy as possible. Cryptanalib is the moving parts behind FeatherDuster, and can be used independently of FeatherDuster. Why "FeatherDuster"? There's an in-joke amongst some crypto folk where using crypto poorly, or to solve a problem that crypto isn't meant to solve is called "sprinkling magical crypto fairy dust on it". FeatherDuster is for cleaning up magical crypto fairy dust.

git-secret - :busts_in_silhouette: A bash-tool to store your private data inside a git repository.

  •    Shell

git-secret is a bash tool which stores private data inside a git repo. git-secret encrypts tracked files with public keys for users whom you trust using gpg, allowing permitted users to access encrypted data using their secret keys. With git-secret, changes to access rights are made easy and private-public key issues are handled for you. Passwords do not need to be changed with git-secret when someone's permission is revoked - just remove their key from the keychain using git secret killperson their@email.com, and re-encrypt the files, and they won't be able to decrypt secrets anymore. It also supports apt and yum. You can also use make if you want to. See the installation section for the details.
