Hazelcast is a clustering and highly scalable data distribution platform for Java. It supports Distributed implementations of java.util.{Queue, Set, List, Map}, java.util.concurrency.locks.Lock, java.util.concurrent.ExecutorService, Distributed Indexing and Query support, Dynamic scaling, partitioning with backups, fail-over, Web-based cluster monitoring tool and lot more.

gs-collections - A supplement or replacement for the Java Collections Framework

GS Collections is a collections framework for Java. It has JDK-compatible List, Set and Map implementations with a rich API and set of utility classes that work with any JDK compatible Collections, Arrays, Maps or Strings. The iteration protocol was inspired by the Smalltalk collection framework. It provides replacements for ArrayList, HashSet, and HashMap optimized for performance and memory usage.

mrq - Mr. Queue - A distributed worker task queue in Python using Redis & gevent

MRQ is a distributed task queue for python built on top of mongo, redis and gevent.MRQ was first developed at Pricing Assistant and its initial feature set matches the needs of worker queues with heterogenous jobs (IO-bound & CPU-bound, lots of small tasks & a few large ones).

cachebar - A simple API caching layer built on top of HTTParty and Redis

CacheBar is a simple API caching layer built on top of Redis and HTTParty. When a good request is made to the API through an HTTParty module or class configured to be cached, it caches the response body in Redis. The cache is set to expire in the configured length of time. All following identical requests use the cache in Redis. When the cache expires it will attempt to refill the cache with a new good response. If though the response that comes back is bad (there was timeout, a 404, or some other problem), then CacheBar will fetch a backup response we also store in Redis (in a separate non-expiring hash). When it pulls this backup response out it inserts it into the standard cache and sets it to expire in 5 minutes. This way we won't look for a new good response for another 5 minutes.

Dynomite - Making Non-Distributed Databases, Distributed

Dynomite, inspired by Dynamo whitepaper, is a thin, distributed dynamo layer for different storages and protocols. Dynomite is a sharding and replication layer. Dynomite can make existing non distributed datastores, such as Redis or Memcached, into a fully distributed & multi-datacenter replicating datastore.

disque - Disque is a distributed message broker

Disque is an ongoing experiment to build a distributed, in-memory, message broker. Its goal is to capture the essence of the "Redis as a jobs queue" use case, which is usually implemented using blocking list operations, and move it into an ad-hoc, self-contained, scalable, and fault tolerant design, with simple to understand properties and guarantees, but still resembling Redis in terms of simplicity, performance, and implementation as a C non-blocking networked server.Currently (2 Jan 2016) the project is in release candidate state. People are encouraged to start evaluating it and report bugs and experiences.

NSQ - A realtime distributed messaging platform in Go

NSQ is a realtime distributed messaging platform designed to operate at scale, handling billions of messages per day. It promotes distributed and decentralized topologies without single points of failure, enabling fault tolerance and high availability coupled with a reliable message delivery guarantee. It scales horizontally, without any centralized brokers. Built-in discovery simplifies the addition of nodes to the cluster.

Koloboke - Java Collections till the last breadcrumb of memory and performance

Koloboke aims to replace the standard Java collections and streams with more efficient implementations. The current version of Koloboke focuses on replacing java.util.HashSet and java.util.HashMap. It provides a complete set of primitive type implementations for each collection. Its able to avoid the expensive boxing/unboxing of primitives and saves memory for boxed primitive objects. It is the fastest and the most memory efficient library implementing hash maps and sets.
