openstack-ansible - Ansible playbooks for installing OpenStack

  •    Python

You almost certainly want openstack/openstack-ansible instead, which is the official OpenStack-Ansible project. This repository contains script that will deploy OpenStack into Vagrant virtual machines. These scripts are based on the Official OpenStack Docmentation, havana release, except where otherwise noted.

openshift-ansible - OpenShift Installation and Configuration Management

  •    Python

This repository contains Ansible roles and playbooks to install, upgrade, and manage OpenShift clusters.Note: the Ansible playbooks in this repository require an RPM package that provides docker. Currently, the RPMs from dockerproject.org do not provide this requirement, though they may in the future. This limitation is being tracked by #2720.

terraform-provisioner-ansible - A provisioner for bootstrapping terraform resources with ansible

  •    Go

Terraform is a tool for automating infrastructure. Terraform includes the ability to provision resources at creation time through a plugin api. Currently, some builtin provisioners such as chef and standard scripts are provided; this provisioner introduces the ability to provision an instance at creation time with ansible. This provisioner provides the ability to apply host-groups, plays or roles against a host at provision time. Ansible is run on the host itself and this provisioner configures a dynamic inventory on the fly as resources are created.

ansible-role-php - Ansible Role - PHP

  •    Shell

Installs PHP on RedHat/CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu servers. If you're using an older LTS release of Ubuntu or RHEL, with an old/outdated version of PHP, you need to use a repo or PPA with a maintained PHP version, as this role only works with PHP versions that are currently supported by the PHP community.

openstack-ansible - Ansible playbooks for deploying OpenStack.

  •    Python

OpenStack-Ansible is an official OpenStack project which aims to deploy production environments from source in a way that makes it scalable while also being simple to operate, upgrade, and grow. For an overview of the mission, repositories and related Wiki home page, please see the formal Home Page for the project.

ansible-role-nginx - Ansible Role - Nginx

  •

Installs Nginx on RedHat/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu, Archlinux, FreeBSD or OpenBSD servers. This role installs and configures the latest version of Nginx from the Nginx yum repository (on RedHat-based systems), apt (on Debian-based systems), pacman (Archlinux), pkgng (on FreeBSD systems) or pkg_add (on OpenBSD systems). You will likely need to do extra setup work after this role has installed Nginx, like adding your own [virtualhost].conf file inside /etc/nginx/conf.d/, describing the location and options to use for your particular website.

An Ansible Role that installs Apache 2.x on RHEL/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu, SLES and Solaris. If you are using SSL/TLS, you will need to provide your own certificate and key files. You can generate a self-signed certificate with a command like openssl req -x509 -nodes -days 365 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout example.key -out example.crt.

molecule - Molecule aids in the development and testing of Ansible roles.

  •    Python

Molecule is designed to aid in the development and testing of Ansible roles. Molecule provides support for testing with multiple instances, operating systems and distributions, virtualization providers, test frameworks and testing scenarios. Molecule is opinionated in order to encourage an approach that results in consistently developed roles that are well-written, easily understood and maintained. Molecule uses Ansible playbooks to exercise the role and its associated tests. Molecule supports any provider [1] that Ansible supports.

heketi - RESTful based volume management framework for GlusterFS

  •    Go

Heketi provides a RESTful management interface which can be used to manage the life cycle of GlusterFS volumes. With Heketi, cloud services like OpenStack Manila, Kubernetes, and OpenShift can dynamically provision GlusterFS volumes with any of the supported durability types. Heketi will automatically determine the location for bricks across the cluster, making sure to place bricks and its replicas across different failure domains. Heketi also supports any number of GlusterFS clusters, allowing cloud services to provide network file storage without being limited to a single GlusterFS cluster. When a request is received to create a volume, Heketi will first allocate the appropriate storage in a cluster, making sure to place brick replicas across failure domains. It will then format, then mount the storage to create bricks for the volume requested. Once all bricks have been automatically created, Heketi will finally satisfy the request by creating, then starting the newly created GlusterFS volume.

terraform-inventory - Terraform State → Ansible Dynamic Inventory

  •    Go

This is a little Go app which generates a dynamic Ansible inventory from a Terraform state file. It allows one to spawn a bunch of instances with Terraform, then (re-)provision them with Ansible. It's very simple to add support for new providers. See pull requests with the provider label for examples.

kubespray - Deploy a Production Ready Kubernetes Cluster

  •    Python

probably pointing on a task depending on a module present in requirements.txt (i.e. "unseal vault"). One way of solving this would be to uninstall the Ansible package and then, to install it via pip but it is not always possible. A workaround consists of setting ANSIBLE_LIBRARY and ANSIBLE_MODULE_UTILS environment variables respectively to the ansible/modules and ansible/module_utils subdirectories of pip packages installation location, which can be found in the Location field of the output of pip show [package] before executing ansible-playbook.

mac-dev-playbook - Mac setup and configuration via Ansible.

  •

This playbook installs and configures most of the software I use on my Mac for web and software development. Some things in macOS are slightly difficult to automate, so I still have some manual installation steps, but at least it's all documented here. This is a work in progress, and is mostly a means for me to document my current Mac's setup. I'll be evolving this set of playbooks over time.

ansible-interactive-tutorial - Interactive Ansible tutorials with dead simple setup via Docker
