The ultimate open source betting protocol. PolyCash is a P2P blockchain platform for wallets, asset issuance, bonds & gaming

  •        21

PolyCash is the ultimate open source betting solution. The PolyCash web app runs on PHP and MySQL and is easy to install and configure. PolyCash is a colored coins implementation built using blockchain technology and can be used to create betting currencies on top of bitcoin, litecoin or any other blockchain based on the Bitcoin source code.

Design your new betting currency by choosing a blockchain to run on, a name for your coins and an initial supply. Then create your genesis transaction and import the new coins into your wallet. Next decentralize your currency by installing it on a bunch of different nodes.

Upload a spreadsheet of the events that you want to allow players to bet on or integrate an API data source for your betting events. Install bitcoin if you want to allow your players to buy in and cash out to BTC.

open-assets-protocol - Technical specification for the Open Assets protocol, a Bitcoin based colored coins implementation

  •

The Open Assets Protocol is a simple and powerful protocol built on top of the Bitcoin Blockchain. It allows issuance and transfer of user-created assets. The Open Assets Protocol is an evolution of the concept of colored coins.

atomicswap - On-chain atomic swaps for Decred and other cryptocurrencies.

  •    Go

NOTICE Mar 1 2018: The atomic swap contract has been updated to specify the secret sizes to prevent fraudulent swaps between two cryptocurrencies with different maximum data sizes. Old contracts will not be usable by the new tools and vice-versa. Please rebuild all tools before conducting new atomic swaps. Pull requests implementing support for additional cryptocurrencies and wallets are encouraged. See GitHub project 1 for the status of coins being considered. Implementing support for a new cryptocurrency provides atomic swap compatibility between all current and future supported coins.

Bit - Bitcoin made easy.

  •    Python

Bit is Python's fastest Bitcoin library and was designed from the beginning to feel intuitive, be effortless to use, and have readable source code.

Waves - Blockchain platform

  •    Scala

Waves is an open-source blockchain platform, that allows users to launch their own custom cryptocurrency tokens. Whilst popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum can be traded on external exchanges, and Ethereum allows users to create new tokens on the platform using a smart contract, Waves includes this functionality in its core software and wallet. Users can create, transfer and exchange blockchain tokens on a peer-to-peer basis, paying transaction fees in the native WAVES token.

coincoin - Blockchain based cryptocurrency proof-of-concept in Elixir. Feedback welcome

  •    Elixir

coincoin is a cryptocurrency proof-of-concept implemented in Elixir. It's an umbrella project that focuses on the 2 main components of (most of) the existing cryptocurrencies: the blockchain and digital transactions. It's goal is to be as simple as possible but complete enough to technically understand what's going on behind Bitcoin or Ethereum for example.

Steem - The blockchain for Smart Media Tokens (SMTs) and decentralized applications.

  •    C++

Steem is a Delegated Proof of Stake blockchain that uses a "Proof of Brain" social consensus algorithm for token allocation. It is a blockchain-based rewards platform for publishers to monetize content and grow community.

naivecoin - A cryptocurrency implementation in less than 1500 lines of code

  •    Javascript

Cryptocurrencies and smart-contracts on top of a blockchain aren't the most trivial concepts to understand, things like wallets, addresses, block proof-of-work, transactions and their signatures, make more sense when they are in a broad context. Inspired by naivechain, this project is an attempt to provide as concise and simple an implementation of a cryptocurrency as possible. From Wikipedia : A cryptocurrency (or crypto currency) is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency.

webcoin - :globe_with_meridians::moneybag: SPV Bitcoin client for Node.js and the browser

  •    Javascript

Webcoin is a Bitcoin client that works in Node.js and the browser. In the browser, it uses WebRTC to make P2P connections rather than relying on a centralized server to get data (like all the other JS Bitcoin libraries). It's kind of like the Bitcoin equivalent of WebTorrent.I am currently making some major refactors to the codebase, and documenting all of it. Much of the code in this repo is being broken out into smaller modules, each with comprehensive tests and docs.

Lbry - A fully decentralized network for distributing data

  •    Python

LBRY is a protocol that provides a fully decentralized network for the discovery, distribution, and payment of data. It utilizes the LBRY blockchain as a global namespace and database of digital content. Blockchain entries contain searchable content metadata, identities, and rights and access rules. It also provides a data network consists of peers uploading and downloading data from other peers, possibly in exchange for payments, and a distributed hash table, used by peers to discover other peers.

bitcore - A full stack for bitcoin and blockchain-based applications

  •    Shell

Bitcore is a infrastructure to build Bitcoin and blockchain-based applications for the next generation of financial technology. It is a full bitcoin node, your apps run directly on the peer-to-peer network. For wallet application development, additional indexes have been added into Bitcoin for querying address balances, transaction history, and unspent outputs.

  •    Rust

Exonum is an extensible open-source framework for creating blockchain applications. Exonum can be used to create cryptographically powered distributed ledgers in virtually any problem domain, including FinTech, GovTech, and LegalTech. The Exonum framework is oriented towards creating permissioned blockchains, that is, blockchains with the known set of blockchain infrastructure providers. See individual projects' readme for the details.
