xaringan-metropolis - Metropolis theme of R package xaringan

  •        68

This is a theme for the R package xaringan which itself relies on remark.js to create a markdown based presentation. You can see an example of the default look of xaringan here. The theme of this repository is trying to be a copy of the metropolis theme for the Beamer class in LaTeX. However, margins may not be correct and font sizes may not reflect the original theme. Currently, the theme only supports 4:3 ratio. You can find the demo slides of the theme here.

xaringan - Presentation Ninja 幻灯忍者 · 写轮眼

  •    R

An R package for creating slideshows with remark.js through R Markdown. The package name xaringan comes from Sharingan, a dōjutsu in Naruto with two abilities: the "Eye of Insight" and the "Eye of Hypnotism". A presentation ninja should have these basic abilities, and I think remark.js may help you acquire these abilities, even if you are not a member of the Uchiha clan. If you use RStudio, it is easy to get started from the menu File -> New File -> R Markdown -> From Template -> Ninja Presentation, and you will see an R Markdown example. Press the Knit button to compile it, or use the RStudio Addin Infinite Moon Reader to live preview the slides (every time you update and save the Rmd document, the slides will be automatically reloaded; make sure the Rmd document is on focus when you click the addin). Please see the issue #2 if you do not see the template or addin in RStudio.

mtheme - A modern LaTeX Beamer theme

  •    TeX

Metropolis is a simple, modern Beamer theme suitable for anyone to use. It tries to minimize noise and maximize space for content; the only visual flourish it offers is an (optional) progress bar added to each slide. The core design principles of the theme were described in a blog post here. Not convinced? Have a look at the demo slides.

kableExtra - Construct Complex Table with knitr::kable() + pipe

  •    R

However, the ultimate simplicity of kable() also brought troubles to some of us, especially for new R users, who may not have a lot of experience on generating tables in R. It is not rare to see people including experienced users asking questions like how to center/left-align a table on Stack Overflow. Also, for me personally, I found myself repeatedly parsing CSS into kable() for some very simple features like striped lines. For LaTeX, it's even worse since I'm almost Stack Overflow dependent for LaTeX... That's why this package kableExtra was created. This package can load required LaTeX package automatically in vanilla rmarkdown. For customized rmarkdown templates, it is recommended to load related LaTeX packages manually.

rmdformats - HTML output formats for RMarkdown documents

  •    HTML

This R package provides ready-to-use HTML output formats and templates for RMarkdown documents. The goal is to produce clean documents "out of the box", with or without the RStudio IDE. The package provides several HTML output formats. You can click on an image to see a real HTML output sample.

blogdown - Create Blogs and Websites with R Markdown

  •    R

You may create a new site via the function blogdown::new_site() under an empty directory. It will create a skeleton site, download a Hugo theme from Github, add some sample content, launch a web browser and you will see the new site. The sample blog post hello-world.Rmd should be opened automatically, and you can edit it. The website will be automatically rebuilt and the page will be refreshed after you save the file. If you use RStudio, you can create a new RStudio project for your website from the menu File -> New Project -> New Directory -> Website using blogdown.

mindr - an R package which converts markdown files (.md, .Rmd) into mindmaps (brainstorms)

  •    R

mindr is an R package which converts markdown (.md) or rmarkdown (.Rmd) files to mind maps (.mm), and vice versa. Mind map files (.mm) can be opened by or imported to common mindmap software such as the desktop software 'FreeMind'and 'XMind', or the online webware 'mindmeister'. then you will get a demo mind map file mindr.mm in the working directory (getwd()). Open it with any mind-map (brainstorm) software, and you will get a mind map.

lightlda - Scalable, fast, and lightweight system for large-scale topic modeling

  •    C++

LightLDA is a distributed system for large scale topic modeling. It implements a distributed sampler that enables very large data sizes and models. LightLDA improves sampling throughput and convergence speed via a fast O(1) metropolis-Hastings algorithm, and allows small cluster to tackle very large data and model sizes through model scheduling and data parallelism architecture. LightLDA is implemented with C++ for performance consideration.

tungsten - High performance physically based renderer in C++11

  •    C++

Tungsten is a physically based renderer originally written for the yearly renderer competition at ETH. It simulates full light transport through arbitrary geometry based on unbiased integration of the rendering equation. To do this, Tungsten supports various light transport algorithms such as bidirectional path tracing, progressive photon mapping, primary sample space metropolis light transport and more. Tungsten is written in C++11 and makes use of Intel's high-performance geometry intersection library embree. Tungsten takes full advantage of multicore systems and tries to offer good performance through frequent benchmarking and optimization. At least SSE3 support is required to run the renderer.

understrap-child - Basic Child Theme for UnderStrap Theme Framework

  •    CSS

Understrap Child Theme shares with the parent theme all PHP files and adds its own functions.php on top of the UnderStrap parent theme's functions.php. IT DOES NOT LOAD THE PARENT THEMES CSS FILE(S)! Instead it uses the UnderStrap Parent Theme as a dependency via npm and compiles its own CSS file from it.

knitr - A general-purpose tool for dynamic report generation in R

  •    R

The R package knitr is a general-purpose literate programming engine, with lightweight API's designed to give users full control of the output without heavy coding work. It combines many features into one package with slight tweaks motivated from my everyday use of Sweave. See the package homepage for details and examples. See FAQ's for a list of frequently asked questions (including where to ask questions). Note that if you want to build the source package via R CMD INSTALL without a previously installed version of knitr, you must either pre-install knitr from CRAN, or run R CMD INSTALL on this source repo, otherwise R CMD build will fail (which is probably a bug of base R).

understrap - :couple: Combines Automattic´s Underscores Starter Theme and Bootstrap 4 - Visit:

  •    CSS

I’m a huge fan of Underscores, Bootstrap, and Sass. Why not combine these into a solid WordPress Theme Framework? That’s what UnderStrap is. You can use it as a starter theme and build your own theme on top of it. Or you can use it as a parent theme and create your own child theme for UnderStrap. The _s theme is a good starting point to develop a WordPress theme. But it is “just” a raw starter theme. That means it outputs all the WordPress stuff correctly but without any layout or design. Why not add a well known and supported layout framework to have a solid, clean and responsive foundation? That’s where Bootstrap comes in.

DiagrammeR - Graph and network visualization using tabular data in R

  •    R
