s3-site-cache-optimizer - Optimize a static website for hosting in S3, by including a fingerprint into all assets' filenames

  •        18

Optimize a static website for hosting in S3, by including a fingerprint into all assets' filenames. The optimized website is uploaded into the specified S3 bucket with the right cache headers. All file operations are executed in a (temporary) output directory, the source directory is not altered.

Stout - A reliable static website deploy tool

  •    Go

Stout is a deploy tool for static websites. It takes a website and uploads it to S3 in a more reliable way than other tools. It can be an alternative to paid services like Divshot, to dynamic web servers like Rails, or to manually uploading your site to S3 or an FTP server. Traditionally uploading your files to S3 introduces a serious caching issue we ran into in practice at Eager. The cache for the various files your site depends on can expire at different times, meaning your users get an inconsistent (broken) set of files for a time after every single deploy. Further, traditional static site deployments don't offer any method of rolling back a previous deploy.

  •    Go

A simple tool to deploy static websites to Amazon S3 and CloudFront with Gzip and custom headers support (e.g. "Cache-Control"). It uses ETag hashes to check if a file has changed, which makes it optimal in combination with static site generators like Hugo. Pre-built binaries can be found here.

certbot-s3front - Certbot CLI plugin for S3/CloudFront validation and installation

  •    Python

Use the certbot client to generate and install a certificate to be used with an AWS CloudFront distribution of an S3 bucket. Follow a guide like this one https://docs.aws.amazon.com/gettingstarted/latest/swh/website-hosting-intro.html to use S3 and CloudFront for static site hosting.

bucket-stream - Find interesting Amazon S3 Buckets by watching certificate transparency logs.

  •    Python

Find interesting Amazon S3 Buckets by watching certificate transparency logs. This tool simply listens to various certificate transparency logs (via certstream) and attempts to find public S3 buckets from permutations of the certificates domain name.

serverless-image-resizing - CloudFormation template to resize images on-the-fly using Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and Amazon S3

  •    Javascript

Resizes images on the fly using Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, and Amazon API Gateway. Using a conventional URL structure and S3 static website hosting with redirection rules, requests for resized images are redirected to a Lambda function via API Gateway which will resize the image, upload it to S3, and redirect the requestor to the resized image. The next request for the resized image will be served from S3 directly.Use the Amazon Linux Docker container image to build the package using your local system. This repo includes Makefile that will download Amazon Linux, install Node.js and developer tools, and build the extensions using Docker. Run make all.

goofys - a high-performance, POSIX-ish Amazon S3 file system written in Go

  •    Go

Goofys allows you to mount an S3 bucket as a filey system. It's a Filey System instead of a File System because goofys strives for performance first and POSIX second. Particularly things that are difficult to support on S3 or would translate into more than one round-trip would either fail (random writes) or faked (no per-file permission). Goofys does not have a on disk data cache (checkout catfs), and consistency model is close-to-open.

scottyjs - Deploy static websites and single page apps to AWS S3 and CloudFront with a single command

  •    Javascript

To deploy CRA apps simply run npm run build in your project root folder to create build version.

aws-cognito-angular-quickstart - An AngularV4-based QuickStart web app utilizing Amazon Cognito, S3, and DynamoDB (serverless architecture)

  •    TypeScript

This sample application can be deployed to either Elastic Beanstalk or S3. S3 will host this application as a static site while Elastic Beanstalk gives you the capability of adding backend operations to the application.createResources.sh requires your aws cli to be configured for JSON output.

AWSBucketDump - Security Tool to Look For Interesting Files in S3 Buckets

  •    Python

This is a tool that enumerates Amazon S3 buckets and looks for interesting files. I have example wordlists but I haven't put much time into refining them.

p5.js-web-editor - In progress p5.js web editor, coming soon.

  •    Javascript

This project is currently in development! It will be announced when there is a (public) beta release. If you don't care about being able to upload media files to S3 or Login with Github, you can drop in the file exactly how it is. Or, if you don't want to do that, just ask me to send you mine. Refer to this gist for creating an S3 bucket for testing, or if you don't want to do that, I can add you to one of my S3 buckets.

percolatestudio.com

  •    Javascript

This is the code that runs Percolate Studio's website at http://percolatestudio.com . The site is a Single Page App built in React. It can be run as a node application with server side rendering, from a set of static pages that have been rendered to disk or as a pure client-side app. We run in production as a static site deployed to S3. We wrote up our rationale in more detail on our blog.

Cactus - Static site generator for designers. Uses Python and Django templates.

  •    Python

We're happy to announce Cactus 3. It brings a set of great new features like asset fingerprinting, an asset pipeline, pretty urls, native Mac filesystem events, automatic nameserver configuration, support for multiple deployment backends (Google Sites) and more. Large parts of the code have been rewritten, accompanied by an extensive suite of unit tests. Many thanks to Thomas Orozco and other contributors. Cactus is a simple but powerful static website generator using Python and the Django template system. Cactus also makes it easy to develop locally and deploy your site to S3 directly. It works great for company, portfolio, personal, support websites and blogs.

s3 - Library for accessing S3 objects and buckets, supports EU and US buckets

  •    Ruby

S3 library provides access to Amazon’s Simple Storage Service. It supports all S3 regions through the REST API.

django-s3direct - Add direct uploads to S3 with a progress bar to file input fields

  •    Javascript

Add direct uploads to AWS S3 functionality with a progress bar to file input fields. With 1.0.0 supporting multipart-upload, most of the internals have been changed, a new endpoint has been added, and support has been dropped for old style positional settings. There are also new requirements to allow GET and HEAD cross-origin requests to S3, as well as the ETAG header. Django compatibility has been raised to >=1.8.

riofs - Userspace S3 filesystem

  •    C

RioFS is an userspace filesystem for Amazon S3 buckets for servers that run on Linux and MacOSX. It supports versioned and non-versioned buckets in all AWS regions. RioFS development started at Skoobe as a storage backend for legacy daemons which cannot talk natively to S3. It handles buckets with many thousands of keys and highly concurrent access gracefully.

S3 Browser for Windows Live Writer

  •

A Windows Live Writer plugin for browsing your Amazon S3 account and insterting references to objects in S3 buckets.

S3-Uploads - The WordPress Plugin to Store Uploads on Amazon S3

  •    PHP

S3 is a WordPress plugin to store uploads on S3. S3-Uploads aims to be a lightweight "drop-in" for storing uploads on Amazon S3 instead of the local filesystem. It's focused on providing a highly robust S3 interface with no "bells and whistles", WP-Admin UI or much otherwise. It comes with some helpful WP-CLI commands for generating IAM users, listing files on S3 and Migrating your existing library to S3.

middleman-s3_sync - The gem that tries really hard not to push files to S3.

  •    Ruby

This gem determines which files need to be added, updated and optionally deleted and only transfer these files up. This reduces the impact of an update on a web site hosted on S3. Middleman Sync does a great job to push Middleman generated websites to S3. The only issue I have with it is that it pushes every files under build to S3 and doesn't seem to properly delete files that are no longer needed.

S3 - Node.js implementation of a server handling the Amazon S3 protocol

  •    Javascript

CloudServer (formerly S3 Server) is an open-source Amazon S3-compatible object storage server that is part of Zenko, Scality’s Open Source Multi-Cloud Data Controller.CloudServer provides a single AWS S3 API interface to access multiple backend data storage both on-premise or public in the cloud.

yas3fs - YAS3FS (Yet Another S3-backed File System) is a Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) interface to Amazon S3

  •    Python

YAS3FS (Yet Another S3-backed File System) is a Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) interface to Amazon S3. It was inspired by s3fs but rewritten from scratch to implement a distributed cache synchronized by Amazon SNS notifications. A web console is provided to easily monitor the nodes of a cluster through the YAS3FS Console project. This is a personal project. No relation whatsoever exists between this project and my employer.
