offline-plugin - Offline plugin (ServiceWorker, AppCache) for webpack (https://webpack.js.org/)

  •    Javascript

This plugin is intended to provide an offline experience for webpack projects. It uses ServiceWorker, and AppCache as a fallback under the hood. Simply include this plugin in your webpack.config, and the accompanying runtime in your client script, and your project will become offline ready by caching all (or some) of the webpack output assets.

  •

Inspired by the awesome list thing. This specification highlights features (SQL, offline application caching APIs as well as online/offline events, status, and the localStorage API) from HTML5 and provides brief tutorials on how these features might be used to create Web applications that work offline.

expense-manager-demo - Progressive Web App (PWA) demo using Vaadin components

  •    HTML

This is an example project for how you can build a Progressive Web Application with Polymer and Vaadin components. The application uses a Service Worker to cache the Application Shell. A Web App Manifest file ensures that the browser identifies our app as a Progressive Web Application and offers the user to install the application through an install banner.

MSBuild Directory Manifest Generator

inliner - Node utility to inline images, CSS and JavaScript for a web page - useful for mobile sites

  •    Javascript

Turns your web page to a single HTML file with everything inlined - perfect for appcache manifests on mobile devices that you want to reduce those http requests.Once you've inlined the crap out of the page, you can optionally configure a service worker to add advanced caching and offline functionality.

spiceweasel - Generates Chef knife commands from a simple JSON or YAML file.

  •    Ruby

Spiceweasel has not been under active development for awhile, so I'm archiving the project unless there is some resurgence in interest. It was last tested with Chef 11, 13 is out now and 14 is coming April 2018. Spiceweasel is a command-line tool for batch loading Chef infrastructure. It provides a simple syntax in Ruby, JSON or YAML for describing and deploying infrastructure in order with the Chef command-line tool knife. This manifest may be bundled with a Chef repository to deploy the infrastructure contained within the repository and validate that the components listed are all present. The manifest may also be extracted from an existing repository.

rack-offline - A Rack and Rails plugin for building offline web applications

  •    Ruby

HTML5 provides two robust offline capabilities already implemented in popular mobile devices, such as the iPhone and Android, and on modern desktop browsers based on the Webkit and Gecko rendering engines. This will automatically cache all JavaScript, CSS, and HTML in your public directory, and will cause the cache to be updated each request in development mode.

project-explorer - 🎋A CLI tool to create an annotated tree visualization of any project

  •    Javascript

Create a tree visualization of any project with this CLI tool. When ramping people up on an existing codebase, there's often a lot of state they have to understand about the project- where everything is, where everything starts, exceptional files. With this tool, you can generate a visualization of any project, as well modify certain directories to be open, or have notes that people can read through easily. A working example of this exists here. I created this for Vue core off of notes taken at a core meeting as Evan You walked us through some of the file structure.

c-for-go - Automatic C-Go Bindings Generator for Go Programming Language

  •    Go

This project allows to reuse existing C/C++ libraries in your Go applications, by automatically creating c-go bindings for a given set of C headers and the manifest file. We believe in component-based software engineering and think that reusing C/C++ code in Go applications could bring a huge boost to developer's productivity and system's performance. Read more about the motivation: top reasons to use bindings. The only component required to produce a Go package that will wrap the source C/C++ code is the YAML manifest file that defines parsing, translation and generation rules. The manifest can have just a few lines, however in order to match Go's naming conventions and provide enough tips for type conversions it usually contains about 100 lines, which is still better than producing tens of thousands lines of Go code by hand.

chunk-manifest-webpack-plugin - Allows exporting a manifest that maps entry chunk names to their output files, instead of keeping the mapping inside the webpack bootstrap

  •    Javascript

Allows exporting a JSON file that maps chunk ids to their resulting asset files. Webpack can then read this mapping, assuming it is provided somehow on the client, instead of storing a mapping (with chunk asset hashes) in the bootstrap script, which allows to actually leverage long-term caching.

kompose - Go from Docker Compose to Kubernetes

  •    Go

kompose is a tool to help users who are familiar with docker-compose move to Kubernetes. kompose takes a Docker Compose file and translates it into Kubernetes resources.kompose is a convenience tool to go from local Docker development to managing your application with Kubernetes. Transformation of the Docker Compose format to Kubernetes resources manifest may not be exact, but it helps tremendously when first deploying an application on Kubernetes.

trash-cli - Move files and folders to the trash

  •    Javascript

Works on macOS, Linux, and Windows. In contrast to rm which is dangerous and permanently delete files, this only moves them to the trash, which is much safer and reversible. I would also recommend reading my guide on safeguarding rm.
