furious - Golang IP/port scanner with SYN (stealth) scanning and device manufacturer identification

  •        85

Furious is a fast, lightweight, portable network scanner. I haven't done any proper performance testing, but a SYN scan of a single host, including all known ports (~6000) will typically take in the region of 4 seconds. On the same machine, nmap took 98 seconds and produced exactly the same results.

Zmap - The Internet Scanner

  •    C

ZMap is an open-source network scanner that enables researchers to easily perform Internet-wide network studies. With a single machine and a well provisioned network uplink, ZMap is capable of performing a complete scan of the IPv4 address space in under 45 minutes, approaching the theoretical limit of gigabit Ethernet. ZMap can be used to study protocol adoption over time, monitor service availability, and help us better understand large systems distributed across the Internet.

qr-scanner - Lightweight Javascript QR Code Scanner

  •    Javascript

Javascript QR Code Scanner based on Cosmo Wolfe's javascript port of Google's ZXing library. According to our benchmarking this project's scanner engine's detection rate is about 2-3 times (and up to 8 times) as high as the one of the most popular javascript QR scanner library LazarSoft/jsqrcode. Also the other library oftentimes misreads the content of QR codes, while for this project no misreads occurred in the benchmarking.

ScanSSH - Scans the network for open proxies

  •    C

ScanSSH supports scanning a list of addresses and networks for open proxies, SSH protocol servers, Web and SMTP servers. Where possible ScanSSH, displays the version number of the running services. ScanSSH protocol scanner supports random selection of IP addresses from large network ranges and is useful for gathering statistics on the deployment of SSH protocol servers in a company or the Internet as whole.

Fuxi-Scanner - Network Security Vulnerability Scanner

  •    Python

Fuxi Scanner is an open source network security vulnerability scanner, it comes with multiple functions. Like Metasploit, it is a development kit for pentesters to develope their own exploits. Based on Pocsuite, you can write the most core code of PoC/Exp without caring about the resulting output etc. There are at least several hundred people writing PoC/Exp based on Pocsuite up to date.

masscan - TCP port scanner, spews SYN packets asynchronously, scanning entire Internet in under 5 minutes

  •    C

This is the fastest Internet port scanner. It can scan the entire Internet in under 6 minutes, transmitting 10 million packets per second. It produces results similar to nmap, the most famous port scanner. Internally, it operates more like scanrand, unicornscan, and ZMap, using asynchronous transmission. The major difference is that it's faster than these other scanners. In addition, it's more flexible, allowing arbitrary address ranges and port ranges.

SecuBat is a generic and modular web vulnerability scanner that, similar to a port scanner, automatically analyzes web sites with the aim of finding exploitable SQL injection and XSS vulnerabilities.

ipscan - Angry IP Scanner - fast and friendly network scanner

  •    NSIS

The code is written mostly in Java. IntelliJ IDEA is recommended for coding (Community Edition is fine). Important: after loading the project in IDEA, make sure you select the appropriate for your platform lib_xxx library in module dependencies (File -> Project Structure -> Modules -> ipscan -> Dependencies - move the right lib_xxx to the top).

exitmap - A fast and modular scanner for Tor exit relays.

  •    Python

Exitmap is a fast and modular Python-based scanner for Tor exit relays. Exitmap modules implement tasks that are run over (a subset of) all exit relays. If you have a background in functional programming, think of exitmap as a map() interface for Tor exit relays: Modules can perform any TCP-based networking task like fetching a web page, uploading a file, connecting to an SSH server, or joining an IRC channel. In practice, exitmap is useful to monitor the reliability and trustworthiness of exit relays. The Tor Project uses exitmap to check for false negatives on the Tor Project's check service and to find malicious exit relays. It is easy to develop new modules for exitmap; just have a look at the file HACKING in the doc/ directory or check out one of the existing modules.
