lave is eval in reverse; it does for JavaScript what JSON.stringify does for JSON, turning an arbitrary object in memory into the expression, function, or ES6 module needed to create it. JSON is great data transport, but can only handle a subset of the objects expressible in a JavaScript runtime. This usually results in lossy serializations at best, and TypeError: Converting circular structure to JSON at worst. While we can get around such issues by writing JavaScript code to parse this JSON back into the structures we want, now we have to ship that code out of band, which can be a headache.

json-stringify-safe - Like JSON.stringify, but doesn't throw on circular references

transit-js - Transit for JavaScript

Transit is a data format and a set of libraries for conveying values between applications written in different languages. This library provides support for marshalling Transit data to/from JavaScript. transit-js will work with any ECMAScript-262 Edition 3 or newer JavaScript implementation provided that a JSON module that supplies parse and stringify methods is present. transit-js does not currently support encoding to MessagePack. Unlike the Java and Clojure implementations it relies on the non-streaming JSON parsing mechanism of the host JavaScript environment. This implementation's major.minor version number corresponds to the version of the Transit specification it supports.

LJSON - JSON extended with pure functions.

LJSON is a drop-in replacement for JSON which also allows you to parse and stringify pure functions and their contents. There are good security reasons for functions to be out of the JSON specs, but most of those are only significant when you allow arbitrary, side-effective programs. Simple, cross platform tool for lossless trimming/cutting of video and audio files. Great for rough processing of large video files taken from a video camera, GoPro, drone, etc. It lets you quickly extract the good parts from your videos and discard GBs of data without losing quality. It doesn't do any decoding / encoding and is therefore extremely fast. This app uses the awesome ffmpeg (included) for doing the grunt work. Since LosslessCut is based on Chromium and uses the HTML5 video player, not all ffmpeg supported formats will be supported. The following formats/codecs should generally work: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, OGG, WAV, MP3, AAC, H264, Theora, VP8, VP9 For more information about supported formats / codecs, see https://www.chromium.org/audio-video. lzham_codec - Lossless data compression codec with LZMA-like ratios but 1

LZHAM is a lossless data compression codec written in C/C++ (specifically C++03), with a compression ratio similar to LZMA but with 1.5x-8x faster decompression speed. It officially supports Linux x86/x64, Windows x86/x64, OSX, and iOS, with Android support on the way. LZHAM is a lossless (LZ based) data compression codec optimized for particularly fast decompression at very high compression ratios with a zlib compatible API. It's been developed over a period of 3 years and alpha versions have already shipped in many products. Leanify is a lightweight lossless file minifier/optimizer. It removes unnecessary data (debug information, comments, metadata, etc.) and recompress the file to reduce file size. It will not reduce image quality at all. I'm not respossible for any consequence of using Leanify.

ImgBot - An Azure Function solution to crawl through all of your image files in GitHub and losslessly compress them

ImgBot crawls all your image files in GitHub and submits pull requests after applying a lossless compression. This will make the file size go down, but leave the dimensions and quality just as good. ImgBot supports optional configuration through a .imgbotconfig json file. This is not a required step to using ImgBot and is only for more advanced scenarios. This file should be placed in the root of the repository and set to your liking.
