invokust - A wrapper for locust to allow running load tests in python or on AWS Lambda

  •        33

A tool for running Locust load tests from within Python without the need to use the locust command line. This gives more flexibility for automation such as QA/CI/CD tests and also makes it possible to run locust on AWS Lambda for ultimate scalability. AWS Lambda is a great tool for load testing as it is very cheap (or free) and highly scalable.

locust - Scalable user load testing tool written in Python

  •    Python

Locust is an easy-to-use, distributed, user load testing tool. It is intended for load-testing web sites (or other systems) and figuring out how many concurrent users a system can handle. The idea is that during a test, a swarm of locusts will attack your website. The behavior of each locust (or test user if you will) is defined by you and the swarming process is monitored from a web UI in real-time. This will help you battle test and identify bottlenecks in your code before letting real users in.

pacu - The AWS exploitation framework, designed for testing the security of Amazon Web Services environments

  •    Python

Pacu is an open source AWS exploitation framework, designed for offensive security testing against cloud environments. Created and maintained by Rhino Security Labs, Pacu allows penetration testers to exploit configuration flaws within an AWS account, using modules to easily expand its functionality. Current modules enable a range of attacks, including user privilege escalation, backdooring of IAM users, attacking vulnerable Lambda functions, and much more. Pacu is a fairly lightweight program, as it requires only Python3.5+ and pip3 to install a handful of Python libraries. Running install.sh will check your Python version and ensure all Python packages are up to date.

apex - Build, deploy, and manage AWS Lambda functions with ease (with Go support!).

  •    Go

Apex lets you build, deploy, and manage AWS Lambda functions with ease. With Apex you can use languages that are not natively supported by AWS Lambda, such as Golang, through the use of a Node.js shim injected into the build. A variety of workflow related tooling is provided for testing functions, rolling back deploys, viewing metrics, tailing logs, hooking into the build system and more.On Windows download binary.

docker-lambda - Docker images and test runners that replicate the live AWS Lambda environment

  •    Javascript

A sandboxed local environment that replicates the live AWS Lambda environment almost identically – including installed software and libraries, file structure and permissions, environment variables, context objects and behaviors – even the user and running process are the same. You can use it for testing your functions in the same strict Lambda environment, knowing that they'll exhibit the same behavior when deployed live. You can also use it to compile native dependencies knowing that you're linking to the same library versions that exist on AWS Lambda and then deploy using the AWS CLI.

aws-sam-cli - AWS SAM CLI 🐿 is a CLI tool for local development and testing of Serverless applications

  •    Python

Join the SAM developers channel (#samdev) on Slack to collaborate with fellow community members and the AWS SAM team. sam is the AWS CLI tool for managing Serverless applications written with AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM). SAM CLI can be used to test functions locally, start a local API Gateway from a SAM template, validate a SAM template, fetch logs, generate sample payloads for various event sources, and generate a SAM project in your favorite Lambda Runtime.
