graphios - A program to send nagios perf data to graphite (carbon) / statsd / librato / influxdb

  •    Python

Graphios is a script to emit nagios perfdata to various upstream metrics processing and time-series (graphing) systems. It's currently compatible with [graphite], [statsd], [Librato] and [InfluxDB], with possibly [Heka], and [RRDTool] support coming soon. Graphios can emit Nagios metrics to any number of supported upstream metrics systems simultaenously. Graphios is released under the GPL v2.

Kairosdb - Fast distributed scalable time series database written on top of Cassandra

  •    Java

KairosDB is a fast distributed scalable time series database written on top of Cassandra. Data can be pushed in KairosDB via multiple protocols : Telnet, Rest, Graphite. KairosDB stores time series in Cassandra, the popular and performant NoSQL datastore. It supports aggregators which can perform an operation on data points and down samples. Standard functions like min, max, sum, count, mean etc.

node-influx - πŸ“ˆ The InfluxDB Client for Node.js and Browsers

  •    TypeScript

For browsers, see the browser setup instructions. Version 3.x.x is compatible with InfluxDB 0.8.x - 3.x will no longer have updates by core contributers, please consider upgrading.

Graphite-PowerShell-Functions - A group of PowerShell functions that allow you to send Windows Performance counters to a Graphite Server, all configurable from a simple XML file

  •    PowerShell

I am no longer maintaining this project as there is a far better tool to do this now called Telagraf, which supports sending to InfluxDB and Graphite. A group of PowerShell functions that allow you to send Windows Performance counters to a Graphite Server, all configurable from a simple XML file.

cyanite - cyanite stores your metrics

  •    Clojure

Cyanite is a daemon which provides services to store and retrieve timeseries data. It aims to serve as a drop-in replacement for Graphite/Graphite-web.See default configuration and basic configuration options.

go-carbon - Golang implementation of Graphite/Carbon server with classic architecture: Agent -> Cache -> Persister

  •    Go

Faster than default carbon. In all conditions :) How much faster depends on server hardware, storage-schemas, etc. There were some efforts to find out maximum possible performance of go-carbon on a hardware (2xE5-2620v3, 128GB RAM, local SSDs).

metrictank - Cassandra-backed, metrics2

  •    Go

Metrictank is a multi-tenant timeseries engine for Graphite and friends. It provides long term storage, high availability, efficient storage, retrieval and processing for large scale environments. GrafanaLabs has been running metrictank in production since December 2015. It currently requires an external datastore like Cassandra, and we highly recommend using Kafka to support clustering, as well as a clustering manager like Kubernetes. This makes it non-trivial to operate, though GrafanaLabs has an on-premise product that makes this process much easier.

jmxtrans - JMX metrics exporter

  •    Java

This is effectively the missing connector between speaking to a JVM via JMX on one end and whatever logging / monitoring / graphing package that you can dream up on the other end.

rearview - Timeseries data monitoring framework

  •    Ruby

Rearview is a real-time monitoring framework that sits on top of Graphite's time series data. This allows users to create monitors that both visualize and alert on data as it streams from Graphite. The monitors themselves are simple Ruby scripts which run in a sandbox to provide additional security. Monitors are also configured with a crontab compatible time specification used by the scheduler. Alerts can be sent via email, pagerduty, or campfire. This is a port of the original scala version re-written in Ruby on Rails. Rearview has been running in production for over a year at LivingSocial.

rrdtool-1.x - RRDtool 1.x - Round Robin Database

  •    C

RRDtool is a little program for easily maintaining a database of time-series data. It comes with a charting program for drawing pretty graphs based on the data stored. It is pretty easy to gather status information from all sorts of things, ranging from the temperature in your office to the number of octets which have passed through the FDDI interface of your router. But it is not so trivial to store this data in a efficient and systematic manner. This is where RRDtool kicks in. It lets you log and analyze the data you gather from all kinds of data-sources (DS). The data analysis part of RRDtool is based on the ability to quickly generate graphical representations of the data values collected over a definable time period.

rpcx - A RPC service framework based on net/rpc like alibaba Dubbo and weibo Motan

  •    Go

go get -u -v github.com/smallnest/rpcx/...rpcx is a distributed RPC framework like Alibaba Dubbo and Weibo Motan. It is based on Go net/rpc and provides extra governance features.

Grafana - The leading graph and dashboard builder for visualizing time series metrics

  •    Go

Grafana is an open source, feature rich metrics dashboard and graph editor for Graphite, Elasticsearch, OpenTSDB, Prometheus and InfluxDB. It is most commonly used for visualizing time series data for Internet infrastructure and application analytics but many use it in other domains including industrial sensors, home automation, weather, and process control.

AppMetrics - App Metrics is an open-source and cross-platform

  •    CSharp

App Metrics is an open-source and cross-platform .NET library used to record metrics within an application. App Metrics can run on .NET Core or on the full .NET framework also supporting .NET 4.5.2. App Metrics abstracts away the underlaying repository of your Metrics for example InfluxDB, Graphite, Elasticsearch etc, by sampling and aggregating in memory and providing extensibility points to flush metrics to a repository at a specified interval.App Metrics provides various metric types to measure things such as the rate of requests, counting the number of user logins over time, measure the time taken to execute a database query, measure the amount of free memory and so on. Metrics types supported are Gauges, Counters, Meters, Histograms and Timers and Application Performance Indexes Apdex.

ceph-dash - Flask based api / dashboard for viewing a ceph clusters overall health status

  •    Javascript

This is a small and clean approach of providing the Ceph overall cluster health status via a restful json api as well as via a (hopefully) fancy web gui. There are no dependencies to the existing ceph-rest-api. This wsgi application talks to the cluster directly via librados. You can find a blog entry regarding monitoring a Ceph cluster with ceph-dash on Crapworks.

cernan - telemetry aggregation and shipping, last up the ladder

  •    Rust

Cernan is a telemetry and logging aggregation server. It exposes multiple interfaces for ingestion and can emit to multiple aggregation sources while doing in-flight manipulation of data. Cernan has minimal CPU and memory requirements and is intended to service bursty telemetry without load shedding. Cernan aims to be reliable and convenient to use, both for application engineers and operations staff. If you'd like to learn more, please do have a look in our wiki.
