This project contains Data Programming samples released with Microsoft SQL Server product.

AdventureWorks in Access

AdventureWorks database in Access format. Data has been ported in Access starting from Adventure Works database for SQL Server 2008.

Constellio - Enterprise Search engine

Constellio Open Source Enterprise Search is based on Apache Solr and using Google Search Appliances connectors architecture, it allows, with a single click, to find all relevant content in your organization (Web, email, ECM, CRM etc.).

Code for Rapid C# Windows Development eBook + LINQPad and Data Tools

The worked example in Joseph Chancellor's book 'Rapid C# Windows Development' which uses LLBLGen Pro with the Adventure Works database. It also contains an Enumerable Debugger Visualizer, Databound TreeView control, LINQPad DataEditor, Data Browser and LLBL Data Context driver.

DataScienceVM - Tools and Docs on the Azure Data Science Virtual Machine (http://aka.ms/dsvm)

The Data Science Virtual Machine (DSVM) is a customized VM image on Microsoft’s Azure cloud built specifically for doing data science. It has many popular data science and other tools pre-installed and pre-configured to jump-start building intelligent applications for advanced analytics. It is available on Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012, and on Linux. We offer Linux edition of the DSVM in either Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or on OpenLogic 7.2 CentOS-based Linux distributions. You can try the Data Science VM for free for 30 days (with $200 credits) with a free Azure Trial. The Linux (Ubuntu-based) DSVM also provides a test drive through a button on the product page. The Test Drive will provide full access to you own instance of the VM with just a free Microsoft account (No Azure subscription or CC needed). On this repo, we will feature tools, tips and extensions (see below) to the Data Science VM. We invite the DSVM user community to contribute any useful tools or scripts, extensions you may have written to enhance the user experience on the DSVM.

Oracle-AdventureWorks

This is a Microsoft to Oracle port of the well known AdventureWorks database. I originally posted this logic in an Oracle Technology Network article on Essbase Studio. I am placing it here at github merely for redundancy as Oracle's OTN links continue to be moved without proper redirect or notice.

toketi-kafka-connect-iothub - Kafka Connect IoT Hub is a Kafka source connector for pumping data from Azure IoT Hub to Kafka

Kafka Connect Azure IoT Hub consists of 2 connectors - a source connector and a sink connector. The source connector is used to pump data from Azure IoT Hub to Apache Kafka, whereas the sink connector reads messages from Kafka and sends them to IoT devices via Azure IoT Hub. When used in tandem, the 2 connectors allow communicating with IoT devices by simply posting and reading messages to/from Kafka topics. This should make it easier for open source systems and other systems that already interface with Kafka to communicate with Azure IoT devices. If you want to contribute, we ask you to sign a CLA(Contribution License Agreement). A friendly bot will remind you about it when you submit a pull-request.

tsuru-ruby-sample

Rails is a web-application framework that includes everything needed to create database-backed web applications according to the Model-View-Control pattern. This pattern splits the view (also called the presentation) into “dumb” templates that are primarily responsible for inserting pre-built data in between HTML tags. The model contains the “smart” domain objects (such as Account, Product, Person, Post) that holds all the business logic and knows how to persist themselves to a database. The controller handles the incoming requests (such as Save New Account, Update Product, Show Post) by manipulating the model and directing data to the view.

json-glib - Frida depends on json-glib

BUGS----JSON-GLib tracks bugs in the GNOME Bugzilla. If you find a bug in JSON-GLib, please file an issue using[the appropriate form][bugzilla-enter-bug]. You can also check[the list of open bugs][bugzilla-bug-page].Required information: * the version of JSON-GLib * if it is a development version, the branch of the git repository * the JSON data that produced the bug (if any) * a small, self-contained test case, if none of the test units exhibit the buggy behaviour * in case of a segmentation

GeoMedia PostGIS data server

GeoMedia PostGIS data server is a GDO (Geographic Database Object) component that enables read and write to a Postgre/PostGIS database from Intergraph GeoMedia product family.

jrobeson-easypopulate

Easy Populate is a ZenCart contribution that allows users to populate product/category data via comma/tab delimited files

Jacobine - A framework to analyze your software development cycle and the community around your software product to discover hidden information

Jacobine aims to take many different analysis on open source projects (source code, ecosystem and community). Analysis can be the size of the different versions in MB, the most active contributers, the atmosphere / mood of the communication in the community (e.g. twitter) or to combine many data sources to answer questions like "At which point in time is the most activity for contribution?" (just an example). All necessary application and library stack is bundled into a easy to use virtual machine. You can find the complete setup in the vagrant setup repository.

ASP.NET Dynamic Data Filtering

The ASP.NET Dynamic Data Filtering project extends the ASP.NET Dynamic Data Framework to provide rich filtering support.

LucidDB - RDBMS built entirely for Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence

LucidDB is the RDBMS built entirely for data warehousing and business intelligence. It is based on architectural cornerstones such as column-store, bitmap indexing, hash join/aggregation, and page-level multi versioning. Every component of LucidDB was designed with the requirements of flexible, high-performance data integration and sophisticated query processing in mind.

cortana-intelligence-personalized-offers - Generate real-time personalized offers on a retail website to engage more closely with customers

In today’s highly competitive and connected environment, modern businesses can no longer survive with generic, static online content. Furthermore, marketing strategies using traditional tools are often expensive, hard to implement, and do not produce the desired return on investment. These systems often fail to take full advantage of the data collected to create a more personalized experience for the user. Surfacing offers that are customized for the user has become essential to build customer loyalty and remain profitable. On a retail website, customers desire intelligent systems which provide offers and content based on their unique interests and preferences. Today’s digital marketing teams can build this intelligence using the data generated from all types of user interactions. By analyzing massive amounts of data, marketers have the unique opportunity to deliver highly relevant and personalized offers to each user. However, building a reliable and scalable big data infrastructure, and developing sophisticated machine learning models that personalize to each user is not trivial.Cortana Intelligence provides advanced analytics tools through Microsoft Azure — data ingestion, data storage, data processing and advanced analytics components — all of the essential elements for building an demand forecasting for energy solution. This solution combines several Azure services to provide powerful advantages. Event Hubs collects real-time consumption data. Stream Analytics aggregates the streaming data and updates the data used in making personalized offers to the customer. Azure DocumentDB stores the customer, product and offer information. Azure Storage is used to manage the queues that simulate user interaction. Azure Functions are used as a coordinator for the user simulation and as the central portion of the solution for generating personalized offers. Azure Machine Learning implements and executes the product recommendations and when no user history is available Azure Redis Cache is used to provide pre-computed product recommendations for the customer. PowerBI visualizes the activity of the system with the data from DocumentDB.

biomartr - Genomic Data Retrieval with R

This package is born out of my own frustration to automate the genomic data retrieval process to create computationally reproducible scripts for large-scale genomics studies. Since I couldn't find easy-to-use and fully reproducible software libraries that would allow others and me to write transparent and easy to reproduce code, I sat down and tried to implement a framework that would enable anyone to automate the genomic data retrieval process. Personally, I strongly support and believe in reproducible research, and I truly hope that this package might be useful to others as well and that it helps to promote reproducible research in genomics studies.I happily welcome anyone who wishes to contribute to this project :) Just drop me an email.
