fbx-conv - Command line utility using the FBX SDK to convert FBX/Collada/Obj files to a custom text/binary format for static, keyframed and skinned meshes

  •    C

Command line utility using the FBX SDK to convert FBX/Collada/Obj files to more runtime friendly formats. The FBX content is parsed into an in-memory datastructure. Pluggable writers then take this datastructure to generate the output. Send us a pull request if you want the writer for your engine/framework/app to be integrated. We'll build the converter for Windows, Linux and Mac.The FBX parser is largely based on GamePlay SDK's encoder. We'll try to back-port any bug fixes or improvements.

hitchhiker-tree - Functional, persistent, off-heap, high performance data structure

  •    Clojure

Hitchhiker trees are a newly invented (by @dgrnbrg) datastructure, synthesizing fractal trees and functional data structures, to create fast, snapshottable, massively scalable databases. The hitchhiker namespaces contain a complete implementation of a persistent, serializable, lazily-loaded hitchhiker tree. This is a sorted key-value datastructure, like a scalable sorted-map. It can incrementally persist and automatically lazily load itself from any backing store which implements a simple protocol.

purescript-pux - Build type-safe web apps with PureScript.

  •    PureScript

Build type-safe web applications with PureScript. Pux has not focused on performance yet. The slow performance arises from translating Pux's (smolder) virtual DOM to React's virtual DOM. The goal is to write a purescript virtual DOM module for smolder, which would avoid that translation step and could be optimized for a monadic datastructure. I suspect this would achieve performance on par with Halogen.

devilbox - A modern Docker LAMP stack and MEAN stack for local development

  •    PHP

The Devilbox is a modern and highly customisable dockerized PHP stack supporting full LAMP and MEAN and running on all major platforms. The main goal is to easily switch and combine any version required for local development. It supports an unlimited number of projects for which vhosts, SSL certificates and DNS records are created automatically. Email catch-all and popular development tools will be at your service as well. Configuration is not necessary, as everything is already pre-setup. Furthermore, the Devilbox provides an identical and reproducable development environment for different host operating systems.

js-stack-from-scratch - 🛠️⚡ Step-by-step tutorial to build a modern JavaScript stack.

  •    Javascript

Welcome to my modern JavaScript stack tutorial: JavaScript Stack from Scratch. This is a straight-to-the-point guide to assembling a JavaScript stack. It requires some general programming knowledge, and JavaScript basics. It focuses on wiring tools together and giving you the simplest possible example for each tool. You can see this tutorial as a way to write your own boilerplate from scratch. Since the goal of this tutorial is to assemble various tools, I do not go into details about how these tools work individually. Refer to their documentation or find other tutorials if you want to acquire deeper knowledge in them.

Stack-RNN - This is the code used for the paper "Inferring algorithmic patterns with a stack augmented recurrent network", by Armand Joulin and Tomas Mikolov

  •    C++

Stack RNN is a project gathering the code from the paper Inferring Algorithmic Patterns with Stack-Augmented Recurrent Nets by Armand Joulin and Tomas Mikolov (pdf). In this research project, we focus on extending Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) with a stack to allow them to learn sequences which require some form of persistent memory.Examples are given in the script The code is still under construction. We are working on releasing the code for the list RNN. If you have any suggestion, please let us know (contacts below).

async-rails - async Rails 3 stack demo

  •    Ruby

You should be aware when using fibers with Rails that you can get a stack overflow error if your stack grows bigger than 4Kb (which is enough for most things though), this got even worse with the 3.1 release in which you can easily overflow the stack, here is an example here. Simple async demo stack with Rails 3.1 + EventMachine and Fibers.

Mako - A simple virtual game console

  •    Forth

Mako is a simple stack-based virtual game console, designed to be as simple as possible to implement. Maker is a compiler for a Forth-like language that targets the Mako VM. Mako has two stacks- a parameter stack and a return stack. Most MakoVM instructions manipulate the top elements of the parameter stack. Instructions are normally a single word (signed 32-bit integer), but some (like JUMP and CALL) are followed by a second word which provides an argument. The Mako memory layout is controlled by a number of memory-mapped registers starting in the lowest address- 0. In addition to the program counter and stack pointers, Mako has registers which control a pixel-scrollable 31x41 grid of 8x8 background tiles, a set of 256 variable-size sprites, a random number generator, optional character I/O facilities for debugging and an 8-bit audio output port. Some implementations additionally provide simple support for filesystem I/O.
