scryptsy - Scrypt KDF is used for BIP38 (encryption of private keys) and proof of work for some crypto currencies

  •        7

scryptsy is a pure Javascript implementation of the scrypt key derivation function that is fully compatible with Node.js and the browser (via Browserify).Scrypt is an integral part of many crypto currencies. It's a part of the BIP38 standard for encrypting private Bitcoin keys. It also serves as the proof-of-work system for many crypto currencies, most notably: Litecoin and Dogecoin.

Litecoin - Global Decentralized Currency

Litecoin is an experimental digital currency that enables instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. Litecoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority: managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the network. Litecoin Core is the name of open source software which enables the use of this currency.

Scrypt RSA Cryptography for Silverlight 3+ and Windows Phone 7

The Scrypt RSA Library provides asymmetric encryption capabilities for Microsoft Silverlight 3+ and Windows Phone 7. In this initial release we've added RSA Encryption with support for key sizes from 256-bit to 4096-bit.

cgminer - ASIC / FPGA / GPU miner in c for bitcoin and litecoin

This is a multi-threaded multi-pool GPU, FPGA and ASIC miner with ATI GPU monitoring, (over)clocking and fanspeed support for bitcoin and derivative coins. Do not use on multiple block chains at the same time!

Bitcoin - Most popular Crypto Currency

Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system.

bitid - Bitcoin Authentication Open Protocol

Pure Bitcoin sites and applications shouldn’t have to rely on artificial identification methods such as usernames and passwords. BitID is an open protocol allowing simple and secure authentication using public-key cryptography.Classical password authentication is an insecure process that could be solved with public key cryptography. The problem however is that it theoretically offloads a lot of complexity and responsibility on the user. Managing private keys securely is complex. However this complexity is already being addressed in the Bitcoin ecosystem. So doing public key authentication is practically a free lunch to bitcoiners.

bitauth - Authenticate with web services utilizing the same strategy as Bitcoin.

BitAuth is a way to do secure, passwordless authentication using the cryptography in Bitcoin. Instead of using a shared secret, the client signs each request using a private key and the server checks to make sure the signature is valid and matches the public key.BitAuth uses the same technology in Bitcoin. A public private key pair is created using elliptic curve secp256k1. The public SIN (System identification number), like a bitcoin address, is the RIPEMD 160, SHA256 hash of the public key. See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Identity_protocol_v1 for complete details.

elements - Open Source implementation of advanced blockchain features extending the Bitcoin protocol

This is the integration and staging tree for the Elements blockchain platform, a collection of feature experiments and extensions to the Bitcoin protocol. This platform enables anyone to build their own businesses or networks involving sidechain pegged Bitcoin or arbitrary asset tokens. The latest feature in the Elements blockchain platform is Confidential Assets, the ability to issue multiple assets on a blockchain where asset identifiers and amounts are blinded yet auditable through the use of applied cryptography.

lnd - Lightning Network Daemon

The Lightning Network Daemon (lnd) - is a complete implementation of a Lightning Network node and currently deployed on testnet3 - the Bitcoin Test Network. lnd has several pluggable back-end chain services including btcd (a full-node) and neutrino (a new experimental light client). The project's codebase uses the btcsuite set of Bitcoin libraries, and also exports a large set of isolated re-usable Lightning Network related libraries within it.

MasterPassword - A stateless password management solution.

Master Password is a completely new way of thinking about passwords. It consists of an algorithm that implements the core idea and applications for various platforms making the alogirthm available to users on a variety of devices and platforms.

node-scrypt - Scrypt for Node

Scrypt for Node/IO is a native node/io C++ wrapper for Colin Percival's scrypt cryptographic hash utility. As should be the case with any security tool, this library should be scrutinized by anyone using it. If you find or suspect an issue with the code- please bring it to my attention and I'll spend some time trying to make sure that this tool is as secure as possible.

scrypt - A Ruby gem with native C extension for the scrypt password hashing algorithm.

The scrypt key derivation function is designed to be far more secure against hardware brute-force attacks than alternative functions such as PBKDF2 or bcrypt. The designers of scrypt estimate that on modern (2009) hardware, if 5 seconds are spent computing a derived key, the cost of a hardware brute-force attack against scrypt is roughly 4000 times greater than the cost of a similar attack against bcrypt (to find the same password), and 20000 times greater than a similar attack against PBKDF2.

Zcash - Internet Money

Zcash is an implementation of the "Zerocash" protocol. Based on Bitcoin's code, it intends to offer a far higher standard of privacy through a sophisticated zero-knowledge proving scheme that preserves confidentiality of transaction metadata. Bitcoin and most cryptocurrencies expose your entire payment history to the public. Zcash is the first open, permissionless cryptocurrency that can fully protect the privacy of transactions using zero-knowledge cryptography.

Cryptoview - Elegant portfolio management for multi-exchange traders

Cryptoview is written to be forked and deployed on a free Heroku account. There is a web application component which handles updating and visualizing your positions and there is a scheduler component that periodically tracks your equity and stores it in a database. Ideally, you'll deploy the web application on Heroku and then run the scheduler locally. This will keep your Heroku account free since you won't pay for background dynos and allow you to access your portfolio from anywhere. The only thing you need to do is setup a free online database through mlab, edit a settings file, and deploy straight from Github. I've tried to make these steps as easy as possible.
