CuttingEdge.Conditions

  •        69

CuttingEdge.Conditions is a library that helps developers to write pre- and postcondition validations in their C# 3.0 and VB.NET 9.0 code base. Writing these validations is easy and it improves the readability and maintainability of code.

AdvaRules

  •    CSharp

A modular program that runs in background, and executes actions based on conditions. You can use it i.e. to make your computer switch between over/underclocking profiles by checking if a 3D application is running. Written in C# and winforms (.NET 2.0).

verifier - Package verifier provides simple defensive programing primitives.

  •    Go

Package verifier provides simple defensive programing primitives. Some software has higher than usual requirements for availability, safety or security. Often in such projects people practice pragmatic paranoia with specific set of rules. For example: each public function on any level of your application should check all arguments passed to it. Obviously checking for nil pointers, but also states and conditions, that it will rely on.

toxiproxy - :alarm_clock: :fire: A TCP proxy to simulate network and system conditions for chaos and resiliency testing

  •    Go

Toxiproxy is a framework for simulating network conditions. It's made specifically to work in testing, CI and development environments, supporting deterministic tampering with connections, but with support for randomized chaos and customization. Toxiproxy is the tool you need to prove with tests that your application doesn't have single points of failure. We've been successfully using it in all development and test environments at Shopify since October, 2014. See our blog post on resiliency for more information.Toxiproxy usage consists of two parts. A TCP proxy written in Go (what this repository contains) and a client communicating with the proxy over HTTP. You configure your application to make all test connections go through Toxiproxy and can then manipulate their health via HTTP. See Usage below on how to set up your project.

toxy - Hackable HTTP proxy for resiliency testing and simulated network conditions

  •    Javascript

Hackable HTTP proxy to simulate server failure scenarios, resiliency and unexpected network conditions, built for node.js.It was mainly designed for failure resistance testing, when toxy becomes particularly useful in order to cover fault tolerance and resiliency capabilities of a system, especially in disruption-tolerant networks and service-oriented architectures, where toxy may act as MitM proxy among services in order to inject failure.

Tropos - Weather and Forecasts for Humans

  •    Objective-C

Weather and forecasts for humans. Information you can act on. Most weather apps throw a lot of information at you but that doesn't answer the question of "What does it feel like outside?". Tropos answers this by relating the current conditions to conditions at the same time yesterday.

Trigger - JobScheduler is a good feature of Android Lollipop, but what a pity only Lollipop.

  •    Java

Do you know JobScheduler which is new added in Android Lollipop version? It is a job scheduler as its name. Define your own job, which need some conditions to happen, suit it up with such as device charging or unmeterred network(just like wifi, what else we have?) or device idle status, then throw it to the JobScheduler framework, your job will happen while all these conditions are satisfied. Awesome feature, isn't it? But a pity is it's only available above API 21. So I try my best to copy it to API 14 and named it Trigger. Good question! In my opinion and according to the test result, it do CAN, and I think Trigger can do more.

OLImageView - Animated GIFs implemented the right way

  •    Objective-C

Everybody loves a good GIF. Unfortunately, Apple's implementation of UIImage doesn't support animated GIFs. OLImage and OLImageView are drop-in replacements for UIImage and UIImageView with really good support for animated GIFs. We tried to fix some of these issues, but we found that the experience still didn't feel quite right. After a little of digging, we found out that browsers change the frame delays on certain conditions. This implementation adopts these conditions to provide an experience that is consistent with the WebKit rendering of an animated GIF.
