transit-js - Transit for JavaScript

  •    Javascript

Transit is a data format and a set of libraries for conveying values between applications written in different languages. This library provides support for marshalling Transit data to/from JavaScript. transit-js will work with any ECMAScript-262 Edition 3 or newer JavaScript implementation provided that a JSON module that supplies parse and stringify methods is present. transit-js does not currently support encoding to MessagePack. Unlike the Java and Clojure implementations it relies on the non-streaming JSON parsing mechanism of the host JavaScript environment. This implementation's major.minor version number corresponds to the version of the Transit specification it supports.

lave - eval in reverse: stringifying all the stuff that JSON.stringify won't

  •    Javascript

lave is eval in reverse; it does for JavaScript what JSON.stringify does for JSON, turning an arbitrary object in memory into the expression, function, or ES6 module needed to create it. JSON is great data transport, but can only handle a subset of the objects expressible in a JavaScript runtime. This usually results in lossy serializations at best, and TypeError: Converting circular structure to JSON at worst. While we can get around such issues by writing JavaScript code to parse this JSON back into the structures we want, now we have to ship that code out of band, which can be a headache.

grunt-replace - Replace text patterns with applause.

  •    Javascript

Replace text patterns with applause. Define patterns that will be used to replace the contents of source files.

json - A C++11 or library for parsing and serializing JSON to and from a DOM container in memory.

  •    C++

Boost.JSON is a portable C++ library which provides containers and algorithms that implement JavaScript Object Notation, or simply "JSON", a lightweight data-interchange format. This format is easy for humans to read and write, and easy for machines to parse and generate. It is based on a subset of the JavaScript Programming Language (Standard ECMA-262). JSON is a text format that is language-independent but uses conventions that are familiar to programmers of the C-family of languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and many others. These properties make JSON an ideal data-interchange language. This library focuses on a common and popular use-case: parsing and serializing to and from a container called value which holds JSON types. Any value which you build can be serialized and then deserialized, guaranteeing that the result will be equal to the original value. Whatever JSON output you produce with this library will be readable by most common JSON implementations in any language.

url-pattern - easier than regex string matching patterns for urls and other strings

  •    CoffeeScript

easier than regex string matching patterns for urls and other strings. turn strings into data or data into strings.a pattern is immutable after construction. none of its methods changes its state. that makes it easier to reason about.

circular-json - JSON does not handle circular references. Now it does

  •    Javascript

Serializes and deserializes otherwise valid JSON objects containing circular references into and from a specialized JSON format. There are no dependencies.

atom-runner - This package will run various script files inside of Atom

  •    CoffeeScript

You can add more commands for a given language scope, or add commands by extension instead (if multiple extensions use the same syntax). Extensions are searched before scopes (syntaxes). IMPORTANT NOTE: Spaces are significant in the configuring of .cson files. You must follow the exact indentation provided in the example above using spaces (no tabs).

jsesc - Given some data, jsesc returns the shortest possible stringified & ASCII-safe representation of that data

  •    Javascript

For any input, jsesc generates the shortest possible valid printable-ASCII-only output. Here’s an online demo.jsesc’s output can be used instead of JSON.stringify’s to avoid mojibake and other encoding issues, or even to avoid errors when passing JSON-formatted data (which may contain U+2028 LINE SEPARATOR, U+2029 PARAGRAPH SEPARATOR, or lone surrogates) to a JavaScript parser or an UTF-8 encoder.

query-string - Parse and stringify URL query strings

  •    Javascript

🔥 Want to strengthen your core JavaScript skills and master ES6? I would personally recommend this awesome ES6 course by Wes Bos. You might also like his React course.Parse a query string into an object. Leading ? or # are ignored, so you can pass location.search or location.hash directly.

LJSON - JSON extended with pure functions.

  •    Javascript

LJSON is a drop-in replacement for JSON which also allows you to parse and stringify pure functions and their contents. There are good security reasons for functions to be out of the JSON specs, but most of those are only significant when you allow arbitrary, side-effective programs. With pure functions, one is able to interchange code while still being as safe as with regular JSON. See this and more examples on the Examples directory.

mark - A simple and unified notation for both object data, like JSON, and markup data, like HTML and XML

  •    Javascript

Objective Markup Notation, abbreviated as Mark Notation or just Mark, is a new unified notation for both object and markup data. The notation is a superset of what can be represented by JSON, HTML and XML, but overcomes many limitations these popular data formats, yet still having a very clean syntax and simple data model. The major syntax extension Mark makes to JSON is the introduction of a Mark object. It is a JSON object extended with a type name and a list of content items, similar to element in HTML and XML.

fast-json-stringify - 2x faster than JSON.stringify()

  •    Javascript

fast-json-stringify is significantly faster than JSON.stringify() for small payloads. Its performance advantage shrinks as your payload grows. It pairs well with flatstr, which triggers a V8 optimization that improves performance when eventually converting the string to a Buffer. Build a stringify() function based on jsonschema.

globalize - A JavaScript library for internationalization and localization that leverages the official Unicode CLDR JSON data

  •    Javascript

A JavaScript library for internationalization and localization that leverage the official Unicode CLDR JSON data. The library works both for the browser and as a Node.js module. Each language, and the countries that speak that language, have different expectations when it comes to how numbers (including currency and percentages) and dates should appear. Obviously, each language has different names for the days of the week and the months of the year. But they also have different expectations for the structure of dates, such as what order the day, month and year are in. In number formatting, not only does the character used to delineate number groupings and the decimal portion differ, but the placement of those characters differ as well.

dissection - The dissection of a simple "hello world" ELF binary.

  •    Assembly

The representation of executables, shared libraries and relocatable object code is standardized by a variety of file formats which provides encapsulation of assembly instructions and data. Two such formats are the Portable Executable (PE) file format and the Executable and Linkable Format (ELF), which are used by Windows and Linux respectively. Both of these formats partition executable code and data into sections and assign appropriate access permissions to each section, as summarised by table 1. In general, no single section has both write and execute permissions as this could compromise the security of the system. Table 1: A summary of the most commonly used sections in ELF files. The .text section contains executable code while the .rodata, .data and .bss sections contains data in various forms.

cookie-parser - Parse HTTP request cookies

  •    Javascript

Parse Cookie header and populate req.cookies with an object keyed by the cookie names. Optionally you may enable signed cookie support by passing a secret string, which assigns req.secret so it may be used by other middleware. Parse a cookie value as a JSON cookie. This will return the parsed JSON value if it was a JSON cookie, otherwise it will return the passed value.

atom-beautify - :lipstick: Universal beautification package for Atom editor (:warning: Currently migrating to https://github

  •    CoffeeScript

Atom-Beautify respects the core.telemetryConsent configuration option from Atom editor. If you do not wish to have usage data sent to Google Analytics then please set core.telemetryConsent to no or undecided option before using Atom-Beautify. See Anonymous Analytics section of docs for details. Thank you. Atom-Beautify is going to be completely rewritten with Unibeautify at its core! See unibeautify branch for work in progress and Issue #1174.

lowdb - Small local JSON database powered by Lodash (supports Node, Electron and the browser)

  •    Javascript

lowdb is a small local JSON database powered by Lodash (supports Node, Electron and the browser). It supports atomic write, Query and modify data using plain JS, Change storage, file format (JSON, YAML, ...) or add encryption via adapters.

Jsmn - World fastest JSON parser/tokenizer

  •    C

jsmn (pronounced like 'jasmine') is a minimalistic JSON parser in C. It can be easily integrated into resource-limited or embedded projects. Most JSON parsers offer you a bunch of functions to load JSON data, parse it and extract any value by its name. jsmn proves that checking the correctness of every JSON packet or allocating temporary objects to store parsed JSON fields often is an overkill.
