Algebrite - Computer Algebra System in Javascript (Coffeescript)

  •    CoffeeScript

Algebrite is a Javascript library for symbolic mathematics (technically, CoffeeScript) designed to be comprehensible and easily extensible. All the built-in methods in Algebrite are exposed through a javascript interface. Strings are automatically parsed as expressions, numbers are converted into the appropriate representation, and the internal cons objects are returned.

swix - Swift Matrix Library

  •    C++

Apple's Swift is a high level language that's asking for some numerical library to perform computation fast or at the very least easily. This is a bare-bones wrapper for that library. A way to have iOS run high-level code similar to Python or Matlab is something I've been waiting for, and am incredibly excited to see the results. This will make porting complex signal processing algorithms to C much easier. Porting from Python/MATLAB to C was (and is) a pain in the butt, and this library aims to make the conversion between a Python/Matlab algorithm and a mobile app simple.

Dambach Linear Algebra Framework

The Dambach Linear Algebra Framework is a general purpose Linear Algebra framework for .Net. The main goal is to enable ordinary programmers (who do not have a math degree) to make use of linear algebra methods in solving everyday problems.

Colt - Scientific and Technical Computing in Java

  •    Java

It provides support for resizable arrays, dense, sparse matrices, histogramming functionality, Random Number Generators etc.

Basic Algebra Math Library Using Regular Expressions

In my spare time, I had wondered what it would take to create a Math library; particularly for Algebra - just for fun. After playing with a few ideas, I came up with a solution using Regular Expressions. Feel free to take this further; I would love to see how far this could go.

blis - BLAS-like Library Instantiation Software Framework

  •    C

BLIS is a portable software framework for instantiating high-performance BLAS-like dense linear algebra libraries. The framework was designed to isolate essential kernels of computation that, when optimized, immediately enable optimized implementations of most of its commonly used and computationally intensive operations. BLIS is written in ISO C99 and available under a new/modified/3-clause BSD license. While BLIS exports a new BLAS-like API, it also includes a BLAS compatibility layer which gives application developers access to BLIS implementations via traditional BLAS routine calls. An object-based API unique to BLIS is also available. For a thorough presentation of our framework, please read our journal article, "BLIS: A Framework for Rapidly Instantiating BLAS Functionality". For those who just want an executive summary, please see the next section.

Surge - A Swift library that uses the Accelerate framework to provide high-performance functions for matrix math, digital signal processing, and image manipulation

  •    Swift

Surge is a Swift library that uses the Accelerate framework to provide high-performance functions for matrix math, digital signal processing, and image manipulation. Accelerate exposes SIMD instructions available in modern CPUs to significantly improve performance of certain calculations. Because of its relative obscurity and inconvenient APIs, Accelerate is not commonly used by developers, which is a shame, since many applications could benefit from these performance optimizations.
