The first thing you need to do is to get a Slack token here. Use, create or request a token for each workspace that you'll use on Sclack. Not all workspaces allow you to generate a token, so sometimes you'll need to ask for the administrator to enable the feature. Sclack seems better when used with a Nerd Font. Using them is completely optional, but it is how some Sclack icons are possible. Personally, I use Fira Code Nerd Font. Download, install and set as the default font of your terminal emulator.

Make sure you use a version of the Arduino IDE which is supported by the ESP8266 platform. Follow the tutorial on our documentation platform. I realized that more and more the Weather Station was becoming a general framework for displaying data over WiFi to one of these pretty displays. But everyone would have different ways or sources for data and having the important part of the library would rather be the classes which fetch the data then the main class. So if you write data fetchers which might be of interest to others please contact me to integrate them here or offer your code as extension library yourself and call it something like esp8266-weather-station-. We will gladly list it here as third party library...


ESP8266HueEmulator - Emulate a Philips Hue bridge running on an ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE.

This sketch emulates a Philips Hue bridge running on an ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE. Right now this is a proof-of-concept; contributions are highly welcome. Hue client apps can discover the emulated bridge and begin talking to it using the Hue protocol. Optionally, vou can use a strip of individually addressable WS2812b NeoPixels and attach it to GPIO2. The sketch talks to a strip of NeoPixels connected to GPIO2 (= pin D4 on the WEMOS D1 mini) of the ESP8266 with no additional circuitry. Right now the sketch uses the NeoPixels to tell that it is powered on, connected to the WLAN etc., and can switch on the first 3 NeoPixels using a Hue client (e.g., the iOS app).
