esp8266-oled-ssd1306 - Driver for the SSD1306 and SH1106 based 128x64 pixel OLED display running on the Arduino/ESP8266 platform

  •    C

You can either download this library as a zip file and unpack it to your Arduino/libraries folder or (once it has been added) choose it from the Arduino library manager. This library has initially been written by Daniel Eichhorn (@squix78). Many thanks go to Fabrice Weinberg (@FWeinb) for optimizing and refactoring many aspects of the library. Also many thanks to the many committers who helped to add new features and who fixed many bugs. The init sequence for the SSD1306 was inspired by Adafruit's library for the same display.

sclack - The best CLI client for Slack, because everything is terrible!

  •    Python

The first thing you need to do is to get a Slack token here. Use, create or request a token for each workspace that you'll use on Sclack. Not all workspaces allow you to generate a token, so sometimes you'll need to ask for the administrator to enable the feature. Sclack seems better when used with a Nerd Font. Using them is completely optional, but it is how some Sclack icons are possible. Personally, I use Fira Code Nerd Font. Download, install and set as the default font of your terminal emulator.

esp8266-weather-station - New version of the ESP8266 Weather Station

  •    C++

Make sure you use a version of the Arduino IDE which is supported by the ESP8266 platform. Follow the tutorial on our documentation platform. I realized that more and more the Weather Station was becoming a general framework for displaying data over WiFi to one of these pretty displays. But everyone would have different ways or sources for data and having the important part of the library would rather be the classes which fetch the data then the main class. So if you write data fetchers which might be of interest to others please contact me to integrate them here or offer your code as extension library yourself and call it something like esp8266-weather-station-. We will gladly list it here as third party library...

ESP8266HueEmulator - Emulate a Philips Hue bridge running on an ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE.

  •    C++

This sketch emulates a Philips Hue bridge running on an ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE. Right now this is a proof-of-concept; contributions are highly welcome. Hue client apps can discover the emulated bridge and begin talking to it using the Hue protocol. Optionally, vou can use a strip of individually addressable WS2812b NeoPixels and attach it to GPIO2. The sketch talks to a strip of NeoPixels connected to GPIO2 (= pin D4 on the WEMOS D1 mini) of the ESP8266 with no additional circuitry. Right now the sketch uses the NeoPixels to tell that it is powered on, connected to the WLAN etc., and can switch on the first 3 NeoPixels using a Hue client (e.g., the iOS app).

tuya-convert - A collection of scripts to flash Tuya IoT devices to alternative firmwares

  •    Python

A Chinese company named Tuya offers a free-to-brand turnkey smart home solution to anyone. Using their offer is dead-simple, since everything can be done by clicking through the Tuya web page, from choosing your pre-designed products or pre-programmed wifi-modules (mostly ESP8266) to building your own app. In the end, this has resulted in as they claim over 11 000 devices 'made' by over 10 000 vendors using Tuyas firmware and cloud services. In the following days, VTRUST and the German tech magazine c't decided to work together. Since reflashing devices using the ESP8266/85 is widespread among DIY smart home enthusiasts, we wanted to provide an easy way for everyone to free their devices from the cloud without the need for a soldering iron.

espurna - Home automation firmware for ESP8266-based devices

  •    C

ESPurna ("spark" in Catalan) is a custom firmware for ESP8285/ESP8266 based smart switches, lights and sensors. It uses the Arduino Core for ESP8266 framework and a number of 3rd party libraries. Please use the gitter ESPurna channel for support and questions, you have better chances to get fast answers from me or other ESPurna users. Open an issue here only if you feel there is a bug or you want to request an enhancement. Thank you.

Arduino - ESP8266 core for Arduino

  •    C

This project brings support for ESP8266 chip to the Arduino environment. It lets you write sketches using familiar Arduino functions and libraries, and run them directly on ESP8266, no external microcontroller required. ESP8266 Arduino core comes with libraries to communicate over WiFi using TCP and UDP, set up HTTP, mDNS, SSDP, and DNS servers, do OTA updates, use a file system in flash memory, work with SD cards, servos, SPI and I2C peripherals.

espusb - Software-only ESP8266 USB Device

  •    C

I wanted to have USB on the ESP8266, and a while ago I saw on the ESP32 flier, it read: "Rich Peripherals" ... "Sorry, no USB!" I thought to myself, that is ridiculous. Of course there's USB. So, it was born. This is a software USB stack running on the ESP8266/ESP8285. It requires only one external resistor, between D- and 3.3V.

PJON - PJON® is an open-source network protocol compatible with Arduino, ESP8266, STM32, Teensy, Raspberry Pi, Linux and Windows

  •    C++

PJON® (Padded Jittering Operative Network) is an Arduino compatible, multi-master, multi-media network protocol. It proposes a Standard, it is designed as a framework and implements a totally software emulated network protocol stack that can be easily cross-compiled on many architectures like ATtiny, ATmega, ESP8266, ESP32, STM32, Teensy, Raspberry Pi, Linux, Windows x86 and Apple machines. It is a valid tool to quickly and comprehensibly build a network of devices. Visit wiki and documentation to know more about the PJON Standard. Feel free to send a pull request sharing something you have made that could help. If you want to support us you can also try to solve an issue. Thank you for your support.

kicad-ESP8266 - Schematic symbols and PCB footprints for ESP8266 modules

Enter a pull request or file an issue on GitHub. ESP-01 - Note that there are two versions of this module available on open market. The schematic symbol is for the v090 version which is probably the same as the v080. There is an older version that does not include any GPIO signals. The footprint is the same for all of the ESP-01 modules.

Wi-PWN - ESP8266 Deauther with a material design WebUI 📶

  •    C

Wi-PWN is a firmware that performs deauth attacks on cheap Arduino boards. The ESP8266 is a cheap micro controller with built-in Wi-Fi. It contains a powerful 160 MHz processor and it can be programmed using Arduino. A deauthentication attack is often confused with Wi-Fi jamming, as they both block users from accessing Wi-Fi networks.
