Leanify - lightweight lossless file minifier/optimizer

  •    C

Leanify is a lightweight lossless file minifier/optimizer. It removes unnecessary data (debug information, comments, metadata, etc.) and recompress the file to reduce file size. It will not reduce image quality at all. I'm not respossible for any consequence of using Leanify.

htmltidy - :do_not_litter: Tidy Up and Test XPath Queries on HTML and XML Content in R

  •    C

Partly inspired by this SO question and because there's a great deal of cruddy HTML out there that needs fixing to use properly when scraping data. It relies on a locally included version of libtidy and works on macOS, Linux & Windows.

libxo - The libxo library allows an application to generate text, XML, JSON, and HTML output using a common set of function calls

  •    C

The libxo library allows an application to generate text, XML, JSON, and HTML output using a common set of function calls. The application decides at run time which output style should be produced. The application calls a function "xo_emit" to product output that is described in a format string. A "field descriptor" tells libxo what the field is and what it means.

hexml - A bad XML parser

  •    C

The name "hexml" is a combination of "Hex" (a curse) and "XML". The "X" should not be capitalised because the parser is more curse and less XML. Hexml may be suitable if you want to quickly parse XML, from known sources, and a full XML parser has been shown to be a bottleneck. As an alternative to hexml, which supports things like entities but is still pretty fast, see Pugixml (with a Haskell binding).

cve-check-tool - Original Automated CVE Checking Tool

  •    C

cve-check-tool, as its name suggests, is a tool for checking known (public) CVEs. The tool will identify potentially vunlnerable software packages within Linux distributions through version matching. Where possible it will also seek to determine (through a distribution implemention) if a vulnerability has been addressed by way of a patch. CVEs are only ever potential - due to the various policies of various distributions, and indeed semantics in versioning within various projects, it is expected that the tool may generate false positives.
