LibTML Messaging Suite - Network Messaging Library in C++

TML Messaging Suite is a network messaging library for rapid development of extensible and scalable interfaces. Based on the peer to peer standard protocol BEEP (Blocks Extensible Exchange Protocol), defined in RFC3080 and RFC3081 libTML is suitable for many use cases and communication patterns. The libtml-c project is a C++ implementation of a library with a C interface on top of the Vortex beepcore.

Seastar - High performance server-side application framework

SeaStar is an event-driven framework allowing you to write non-blocking, asynchronous code in a relatively straightforward manner. It is based on futures. Seastar is the first framework to bring together a set of extreme architectural innovations, including Shared-nothing design, High-performance networking, Futures and promises, Message passing etc.

nmap - Nmap - the Network Mapper. Github mirror of official SVN repository.

Nmap is released under a custom license, which is based on (but not compatible with) GPLv2. The Nmap license allows free usage by end users, and we also offer a commercial license for companies that wish to redistribute Nmap technology with their products. See Nmap Copyright and Licensing for full details.Full documentation is also available on the Nmap.org website.

axon - message-oriented socket library for node.js heavily inspired by zeromq

Axon is a message-oriented socket library for node.js heavily inspired by zeromq. For a light-weight UDP alternative you may be interested in punt.Backed by node-amp-message you may pass strings, objects, and buffers as arguments.

primus - :zap: Primus, the creator god of the transformers & an abstraction layer for real-time to prevent module lock-in

Primus, the creator god of transformers but now also known as universal wrapper for real-time frameworks. There are a lot of real-time frameworks available for Node.js and they all have different opinions on how real-time should be done. Primus provides a common low level interface to communicate in real-time using various real-time frameworks. If you deploy your application behind a reverse proxy (Nginx, HAProxy, etc.) you might need to add WebSocket specific settings to its configuration files. If you intend to use WebSockets, please ensure that these settings have been added. There are some example configuration files available in the observing/balancerbattle repository.

WebSocket-Node - A WebSocket Implementation for Node.JS (Draft -08 through the final RFC 6455)

This is a (mostly) pure JavaScript implementation of the WebSocket protocol versions 8 and 13 for Node. There are some example client and server applications that implement various interoperability testing protocols in the "test/scripts" folder. For a WebSocket client written in ActionScript 3, see my AS3WebScocket project.

express-status-monitor - 🚀 Realtime Monitoring solution for Node

Simple, self-hosted module based on Socket.io and Chart.js to report realtime server metrics for Express-based node servers. Monitor can be configured by passing options object into expressMonitor constructor.

mTCP - A Highly Scalable User-level TCP Stack for Multicore Systems

mTCP is a high-performance user-level TCP stack for multicore systems. Scaling the performance of short TCP connections is fundamentally challenging due to inefficiencies in the kernel. mTCP addresses these inefficiencies from the ground up - from packet I/O and TCP connection management all the way to the application interface. It translates expensive system calls to shared memory access between two threads within the same CPU core.

elixir-socket - Socket wrapping for Elixir.

This library wraps gen_tcp, gen_udp and gen_sctp, ssl and implements websockets and socks.

Apache MINA - A network application framework

Apache MINA is a network application framework which helps users develop high performance and high scalability network applications easily. It provides an abstract, event-driven, asynchronous API over various transports such as TCP/IP and UDP/IP via Java NIO.

libuv - Cross platform Asynchronous I/O

libuv is a multi-platform support library with a focus on asynchronous I/O. It was primarily developed for use by Node.js, but it’s also used by Luvit, Julia, pyuv, and others. Its feature includes event loop backed by epoll, kqueue, IOCP, event ports. Asynchronous TCP and UDP sockets, Asynchronous DNS resolution, Thread pool, Signal handling and lot more.

BlueSocket - Socket framework for Swift using the Swift Package Manager

Socket framework for Swift using the Swift Package Manager. Works on iOS, macOS, and Linux.

passport.socketio - access passport.js authenticated user information from socket.io connection

Access passport.js user information from a socket.io connection. Always provide one. If you don't know what sessionStore to use, have a look at this list. Also be sure to use the same sessionStore or at least a connection to the same collection/table/whatever. And don't forget your express.session() middleware: app.use(express.session({ store: awesomeSessionStore })); For further info about this middleware see the official documentation.

is-online - Check if the internet connection is up

Works in Node.js and the browser (with browserify/webpack).In the browser you have navigator.onLine, but it's useless as it only tells you if there's a local connection, and not whether the internet is accessible.

Rusty - Light-weight, user-space, event-driven and highly-scalable TCP/IP stack

Rusty is a light-weight, user-space, event-driven and highly-scalable TCP/IP stack. It has been developed to run on a EZChip TILE-Gx36 processor. Rusty is a light-weight, user-space, event-driven and highly-scalable TCP/IP stack. It has been developed to run on a EZChip TILE-Gx36 processor. Rusty takes full control of cores it runs on.

node-mitm - Intercept and mock outgoing Node

Mitm.js is a library for Node.js (and Io.js) to intercept and mock outgoing network TCP and HTTP connections. Mitm.js intercepts and gives you a Net.Socket to communicate as if you were the remote server. For HTTP requests it even gives you Http.IncomingMessage and Http.ServerResponse — just like you're used to when writing Node.js servers. Except there's no actual server running, it's all just In-Process Interception™. Intercepting connections and requests is extremely useful to test and ensure your code does what you expect. Assert on request parameters and send back various responses to your code without ever having to hit the real network. Fast as hell and a lot easier to develop with than external test servers.

cpp-netlib - The C++ Network Library Project

The project aims to build upon the latest C++ standard (currently C++11) to provide easy to use libraries for network programming. We use the latest compiler versions and features with an eye on pushing the boundaries on leveraging what's available in C++. Currently the library contains an HTTP client and server implementation, a stand-alone URI library, a network message framework, and some concurrency tools.

Socket Policy File Server

The socket policy file server is a simple TCP server that serves the socket policy file required by Adobe Flash Player for cross domain resource access.
