element-queries-spec - A spec for a Container-Style Element Query Syntax

This spec aims to define a syntax for scoped styles and element queries in a container query style, as well as the related selectors, functions, and units that make scoped styles and element queries versatile and powerful way to write layout-independent responsive conditions for elements in CSS. As a reference for the syntax described in the spec, I have included a JavaScript plugin that reads the proposed syntax and displays the desired behaviour of the proposed functionality.

This code changes the actual <style> node in the DOM instead of computing the styles certain nodes might get and applying them on them inline. This is usefull when adding new nodes to a container that is "scoped". It does so by prepending the styleRules selectorText with id's to syntheticaly up the styleRules' specificity and thus overriding (if defined in the scoped <style> node) the styles which are inherited from the main HTML.

If you are using reproCSS with custom events, you may also optionally use a selector attribute specify a list of one or more CSS selectors you would like to add event listeners for. If no selector attribute is found all custom events will be applied to window.
