tcpie - CLI tool to ping any TCP port

tcpie is a tool to measure latency and verify the reliabilty of a TCP connection. It does so by initiating a handshake followed by an immediately termination of the socket. While many existing tools require raw socket access, tcpie runs fine in user space. An API for use as a module is also provided.

QuickScan - Port scanning and domain utility.

QuickScan is a simple port scanning utility with some useful supporting features. As such it comes with functionality to query DNS in order to resolve domains and has a built in WHOIS lookup. Conveniently the program saves the results of your scans and assorted operations to an application log in the current working directory for future reference and/or further processing. Starting the program from the terminal python quickscan.py without arguments, will show you a quick introduction message and some usage information. The full set of options available to you are as follows.

Platform-independently find SSH servers (or other services with open ports) on an IPv4 subnet, WITHOUT NMAP. Scans entire IPv4 subnet in less than 1 second using 100 threads via Python standard library concurrent.futures. Although speed advantages weren't seen in our testing, findssh works with PyPy as well.

furious - Golang IP/port scanner with SYN (stealth) scanning and device manufacturer identification

Furious is a fast, lightweight, portable network scanner. I haven't done any proper performance testing, but a SYN scan of a single host, including all known ports (~6000) will typically take in the region of 4 seconds. On the same machine, nmap took 98 seconds and produced exactly the same results.
