curriculum - The open curriculum for learning web development

The Odin Project (also known as TOP), is an open-source community for learning full-stack web development. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive curriculum to learn web development for free. We help our students to learn the skills and build the impressive portfolio of projects they need to get hired as a web developer. The curriculum is divided into distinct courses each covering the subject language in-depth. Each course contains a listing of lessons interspersed with multiple projects. These projects give students the opportunity to practise what they are learning, thereby reinforcing and solidifying the theoretical knowledge learned in the lessons. Completed projects may then be included in the student's portfolio.

tetris-tutorial - From rags to riches; building Tetris with no programming experience.

  •    Javascript

Hello. My step-brother was playing Tetris today, but was getting annoyed about all the ads and the "recharge time" in the game, and vented his frustration to me. After pointing out that there are probably thousands of completely frustration-free (well, apart from the gameplay) Tetris clones out there, I jokingly told him to go write his own Tetris game instead. His immediate reaction was "I could never do that". After some interrogration, he revealed that he actually thought that doing so could be quite fun, if only there was a good way for him to learn how to do so without studying Computer Science for years. This is my attempt to make that possible.

wings - Templating library that works on the server and client closely modeled on Mustache

  •    CoffeeScript

Wings is a logic-less templating library that works on the server and client. It is based on Mustache, but the syntax is less verbose and a few advanced features are sacrificed for small code size (0.75kb compressed!). The module exposes a single function, wings.renderTemplate(template, data, links). When used with Ender, this function is aliased as $.render, which can also be called on selected elements. In the latter case, the function takes two arguments, and the contents of the element will be rendered as the template and returned.
