Geolib - Growing library to provide some basic geo functions

  •    Javascript

Library to provide basic geospatial operations like distance calculation, conversion of decimal coordinates to sexagesimal and vice versa, etc. Takes 2 or 4 arguments. First 2 arguments must be objects that each have latitude and longitude properties (e.g. {latitude: 52.518611, longitude: 13.408056}). Coordinates can be in sexagesimal or decimal format. 3rd argument is accuracy (in meters). So a calculated distance of 1248 meters with an accuracy of 100 is returned as 1200 (accuracy 10 = 1250 etc.). 4th argument is precision in sub-meters (1 is meter presicion, 2 is decimeters, 3 is centimeters, etc).

grid_map - Universal grid map library for mobile robotic mapping

  •    C++

This is a C++ library with ROS interface to manage two-dimensional grid maps with multiple data layers. It is designed for mobile robotic mapping to store data such as elevation, variance, color, friction coefficient, foothold quality, surface normal, traversability etc. It is used in the Robot-Centric Elevation Mapping package designed for rough terrain navigation. This is research code, expect that it changes often and any fitness for a particular purpose is disclaimed.

Php-google-map-api - PHP Class for Building maps using Google Maps API

  •    PHP

The world of building web applications that utilize Google Maps can be a tedious and laborious process. The intent of this class is to make it easier for developers to quickly and easily integrate a map into their page with very little effort.

It is designed for mobile robotic mapping to store data such as elevation, variance, color, friction coefficient, foothold quality, surface normal, traversability etc. It is used in the Robot-Centric Elevation Mapping package designed for rough terrain navigation. The grid map package has been tested with ROS Indigo, Jade (under Ubuntu 14.04) and Kinetic (under Ubuntu 16.04). This is research code, expect that it changes often and any fitness for a particular purpose is disclaimed.

User Account Control Helpers

  •

The User Account Control Helpers library is an open project supporting the UAC feature of Windows Vista. It facilititates interaction with the UAC mechanism, handles manifest creation, extraction and embedding, and more.

turf-isobands - Takes a FeatureCollection of points with z values and an array of value breaks and generates filled contour isobands

  •    Javascript

Takes a pointGrid FeatureCollection of points with z values and an array of value breaks and generates filled contour isobands. These are commonly used to create elevation maps, but can be used for general data interpolation as well.Requires nodejs.

getCRUCLdata - Use and Explore CRU CL v. 2.0 Climatology Elements in R

  •    R

The getCRUCLdata package provides functions that automate importing CRU CL v. 2.0 climatology data into R, facilitate the calculation of minimum temperature and maximum temperature, and formats the data into a tidy data frame as a tibble::tibble() or a list() of raster::stack() objects for use in an R session. CRU CL v. 2.0 data are a gridded climatology of 1961-1990 monthly means released in 2002 and cover all land areas (excluding Antarctica) at 10 arcminutes (0.1666667 degree) resolution. For more information see the description of the data provided by the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit (CRU), https://crudata.uea.ac.uk/cru/data/hrg/tmc/readme.txt.

elevation-service - Elevation data for your GeoJSON as a micro service

  •    Javascript

You can try it out in the elevation-service demo app. You might also be interested in geojson-elevation and node-hgt, which this module builds upon.

geojson-elevation - Add juicy elevation data to your fresh GeoJSON

  •    Javascript

Add juicy elevation data to your fresh GeoJSON. Check out the demo app, if you want to get a feel for it.

node-hgt - Query hgt files (typically SRTM elevation data) with performance

  •    Javascript

Read and query HGT files, for example from SRTM, for elevation data with high performance. Optionally, this module can also use cached and automatically download HGT files as required. node-hgt tries to be reasonably performant. A rough benchmark shows it can do 1.8M elevation calculations per second on my years old laptop.

Leaflet.Elevation - Leaflet plugin to view height profile of GeoJSON- and GPX polylines using d3

  •    Javascript

A Leaflet plugin to view an interactive height profile of polylines lines using d3. This plugin is under development. Altitude information for each point is necessary in the given data.

react-native-cardview - CardView for react-native (All Android version and iOS)

  •    Java

Native CardView that compatible for iOS and Android( both lollipop and pre-lolipop). An attribute to set the elevation of the card. This will increase the 'drop-shadow' of the card. There can be some performance impact when using a very high elevation value.

srtm-python - A python program that reads SRTM Digital Elevation Model files

  •    Python

A python program that reads SRTM1 and SRTM3 Digital Elevation Model files.

stdo - Proof of concept sudo for Windows

  •    C++

A terminal. Or two terminals currently. See this short demo. This will produce two binaries in bin\debug. To try it, start TokenServer.exe in an admin console; then in a separate unelevated console run stdo.exe <program> <args>. Currently you need to provide the full path to the program. It will ask for your password, but this is not yet implemented so the password is always password. To see the difference in elevation status, try stdo.exe C:\Windows\System32\whoami.exe /groups and look for the Mandatory Label section.

osm-slope - Calculate slope (climb and descent) for highway ways in OpenStreetMap data.

  •    Javascript

Calculate slope (climb and descent) for highway ways in OpenStreetMap data. OSM Slope offers reasonable performance. Processing all of Sweden (825k highway ways) takes 150 seconds on my pretty old laptop.

Terrain2STL - A web-based service that converts publicly available HGT files to useful STL files.

  •    HTML

A web-based service that converts publicly available HGT files to useful STL files. ###Try it Out! This project is running on a Google Compute Engine server at jthatch.com. It's updated soon after any commit to this repository.
