ISO-3166-Countries-with-Regional-Codes - ISO 3166-1 country lists merged with their UN Geoscheme regional codes in ready-to-use JSON, XML, CSV data sets

These lists are the result of merging data from two sources, the Wikipedia ISO 3166-1 article for alpha and numeric country codes, and the UN Statistics site for countries' regional, and sub-regional codes. In addition to countries, it includes dependent territories. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) site provides partial data (capitalised and sometimes stripped of non-latin ornamentation), but sells the complete data set as a Microsoft Access 2003 database. Other sites give you the numeric and character codes, but there appeared to be no sites that included the associated UN-maintained regional codes in their data sets. I scraped data from the above two websites that is all publicly available already to produce some ready-to-use complete data sets that will hopefully save someone some time who had similar needs.

string.js - Extra JavaScript string methods.

string.js, or simply S is a lightweight (< 5 kb minified and gzipped) JavaScript library for the browser or for Node.js that provides extra String methods. Originally, it modified the String prototype. But I quickly learned that in JavaScript, this is considered poor practice.Personally, I prefer the cleanliness of the way code looks when it appears to be native methods. i.e. when you modify native JavaScript prototypes. However, if any app dependency required string.js, then the app's string prototype would be modified in every module. This could be troublesome. So I settled on creating a wrapper a la jQuery style. For those of you prototype hatin' fools, there is the method extendPrototype().

django-rest-pandas - 📊📈 Serves up Pandas dataframes via the Django REST Framework for use in client-side (i

Django REST Pandas (DRP) provides a simple way to generate and serve pandas DataFrames via the Django REST Framework. The resulting API can serve up CSV (and a number of other formats) for consumption by a client-side visualization tool like d3.js. The design philosophy of DRP enforces a strict separation between data and presentation. This keeps the implementation simple, but also has the nice side effect of making it trivial to provide the source data for your visualizations. This capability can often be leveraged by sending users to the same URL that your visualization code uses internally to load the data.
