code-push - A cloud service that enables Cordova and React Native developers to deploy mobile app updates directly to their users’ devices

  •    TypeScript

CodePush is a cloud service that enables Cordova and React Native developers to deploy mobile app updates directly to their users' devices. It works by acting as a central repository that developers can publish updates to (JS, HTML, CSS and images), and that apps can query for updates from (using provided client SDKs for Cordova and React Native). This allows you to have a more deterministic and direct engagement model with your userbase, when addressing bugs and/or adding small features that don't require you to re-build a binary and re-distribute it through the respective app stores. This repo includes the management CLI and Node.js management SDK, which allows you to manage and automate the needs of your Cordova and React Native apps. To get started using CodePush, refer to our documentation, otherwise, read the following steps if you'd like to build/contribute to the project from source.

native-starter-kit - React Native Starter App with NativeBase + CodePush + Redux

  •    Javascript

Note: Shifted to React Navigation from React Native Router Flux in the master branch. React Navigation has become standard for navigation solution in React Native. We are just keeping up with the current trend. No need of reinventing the wheel. To have immediately something to continue building on, it would be best to start from some starter kit for getting React Native - based applications off the ground in a hurry.

DUS - A differential download based Over The Air(OTA) Update system for React Native

  •    Java

DUS is a Over The Air (OTA) update system that allows React Native developers to deploy mobile app updates directly to the devices of the users. It allows you to use your own servers to maintain release patches and provides configurability in the way these patches are downloaded on your Native Apps. Once a React Native application is released, updating the code involves a recompilation of the new code and releasing a fresh APK/IPA. The adoption of the new APK/IPA and the review time associated with the review process makes it difficult for your latest code to reach your entire users instantly.

bolt-starter - UNMAINTAINED - ⚡ Rapid starter for your next React Native project ⚡

  •    Javascript

There are many great starter projects for React Native. This one is used in production at Full Facing and comes with a logical setup to let you hit the ground running. It includes a basic todo application example. If everything goes off smoothly you should be able to run the project.

lomo-rn-boilerplate - React Native boilerplate written in Typescript, using Mobx State Tree, i18next and CodePush

  •    TypeScript

This React Native boilerplate represent a complete ToDo application example using Typescript for a strongly typed code and many others library accurately configured from Debugging to Release. *It's recommended that you use Yarn Yarn instead of npm and install Reactotron for inspecting the app store and actions.

nativescript-app-sync - ♻️ Update your app without going through the app store!

  •    C

A NativeScript app is composed of XML/HTML, CSS and JavaScript files and any accompanying images, which are bundled together by the NativeScript CLI and distributed as part of a platform-specific binary (i.e. an .ipa or .apk file). Once the app is released, updating either the code (e.g. making bug fixes, adding new features) or image assets, requires you to recompile and redistribute the entire binary, which of course, includes any review time associated with the store(s) you are publishing to. 💁‍♂️ Note that we don't actually use those folders, but the app folder in platforms/ios/<appname>/app and platforms/android/app/src/main/assets/app, the benefit of which is we don't "care" if you use Webpack or Uglify or whatever tools you use to minify or scramble your app's assets.

This AppSync server is similar to Microsoft's CodePush server, but tailored for NativeScript apps, working seamlessly with the NativeScript AppSync plugin. Huge thanks to this project which this project is based upon. We didn't fork it because significant (non-unforkeable) changes had to be made (replacing hardcoded Chinese text by English comes to mind).
