leaflet-dvf - Leaflet Data Visualization Framework

  •    Javascript

The Leaflet Data Visualization Framework (DVF) is an extension to the Leaflet JavaScript mapping library. The primary goal of the framework is to simplify data visualization and thematic mapping using Leaflet - making it easier to turn raw data into compelling maps.

statebins - Alternative to choropleths of US States ala http://bit.ly/statebins

  •    R

Due to a number of things, this is dependent on the development version of ggplot2 and now identifies that in the DESCRIPTION metadata, including a Remotes: field (which will be removed when this & ggplot2 hit CRAN). All of the following examples use the WaPo data. It looks like the columns they use are scaled data and I didn’t take the time to figure out what they did, so the final figure just mimics their output (including the non-annotated legend).

Geopython - Spatial/Geo Python explorations

  •    Jupyter

This is a repository of various geo/spatial analysis techniques using Python libraries, chiefly Numpy, Pandas, Shapely, Fiona, Descartes, Matplotlib, and Matplotlib-Basemap. These tutorials, visualisations, and libraries are an occasional side effect of being embroiled in a PhD at the Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, at UCL, and teaching on the undergraduate Data Science and Visualisation course.

leaflet-choropleth - Choropleth plugin for Leaflet (color scale based on value)

  •    Javascript

This plugin extends L.geoJson, giving each feature a style.fillColor that corresponds to a specified value in its properties object. For information on how to use L.geoJson, see the Leaflet tutorial and documentation. While Leaflet provides a choropleth tutorial, that approach requires you to specify exact breakpoints and colors. This plugin uses chroma.js to abstract that for you. Just tell it which property in the GeoJSON to use and some idea of the color scale you want.

vue-choropleth - Choropleth Map component for Vue.js

  •    Vue

For a complete example using a single-file component, check the code in the example. As seen on the example, usually you'll pass these values to the v-info-control and v-reference-chart components.

d3.chart.choropleth - A d3.chart based choropleth map

A d3.chart based choropleth map with an easily modified domain and built-in color-brewer colors based on a quantize scale. When value provided sets the height of the map. If no value provided, defaults to 500 for bl.ocks integration.
