Richtypo adds non-breaking spaces in right places, <nobr> and <abbr> tags, CSS classes, ampersands and hanging punctuation for special styling. It expects that your texts already have the right quotes, em-dashes and other symbols (you can use Typography Keyboard Layout). Note: all methods render as an actual non-breaking space (\xA0).
This is a Python3 implementation of the Schwartz-Hearst algorithm for identifying abbreviations and their corresponding definitions in free text. I have taken the liberty of taking Vincent's code, simplifying it a little, refactoring it for Python 3, and adding some tests.
Utility for converting between different U.S. state abbreviations. Updating json by hand is annoying. The abbreviations are stored in src/abbreviations.csv. src/abbreviations.json can be regenerated by having csvkit installed and running make.
A simple plugin for Jekyll (or Octopress) that will surround abbreviations with <abbr> tags and a title. The title is taken from a YAML file. It only matches full word abbreviations, so no matches for spaces, dots ... (e.g. will not work as abbreviation). It won’t replace abbreviations in attributes or already surrounded by an abbreviation.
