axax - Async Iterator Extensions for JavaScript e.g. map, reduce, filter, flatMap, etc.

  •    TypeScript

A library of async iterator extensions for JavaScript including map, reduce, filter, flatMap, pipe and more. Async iterators are a useful way to handle asynchronous streams. This library adds a number of utility methods similar to those found in lodash, underscore, Ramda or RxJs.

Streams - Lazy evaluation in C++ - http://jscheiny.github.io/Streams/

  •    C++

Streams is a C++ library that provides lazy evaluation and functional-style transformations on the data, to ease the use of C++ standard library containers and algorithms. Streams support many common functional operations such as map, filter, and reduce, as well as various other useful operations such as various set operations (union, intersection, difference), partial sum, and adjacent difference, as well as many others. To use, simply #include "Stream.h", and compile using a C++14 compatible compiler. All streams classes/functions can be found in the stream namespace.

luafun - Lua Fun is a high-performance functional programming library for Lua designed with LuaJIT's trace compiler in mind

  •    Lua

Lua Fun is a high-performance functional programming library for Lua designed with LuaJIT's trace compiler in mind. Lua Fun provides a set of more than 50 programming primitives typically found in languages like Standard ML, Haskell, Erlang, JavaScript, Python and even Lisp. High-order functions such as map, filter, reduce, zip, etc., make it easy to write simple and efficient functional code.

yomo - 🦖 Serverless Streaming Framework for Low-latency Edge Computing applications, running atop QUIC protocol, as Metaverse infrastructure, engaging 5G technology

  •    Go

YoMo is an open-source Streaming Serverless Framework for building Low-latency Edge Computing applications. Built atop QUIC Transport Protocol and Functional Reactive Programming interface. makes real-time data processing reliable, secure, and easy. Congratulations! You have done your first YoMo Stream Function.

fs2 - Compositional, streaming I/O library for Scala

  •    Scala

FS2 is a library for purely functional, effectful, and polymorphic stream processing library in the Scala programming language. Its design goals are compositionality, expressiveness, resource safety, and speed. The name is a modified acronym for Functional Streams for Scala (FSS, or FS2). FS2 is available for Scala 2.12, Scala 2.13, Scala 3, and Scala.js. FS2 is built upon two major functional libraries for Scala, Cats, and Cats-Effect. Regardless of those dependencies, FS2 core types (streams and pulls) are polymorphic in the effect type (as long as it is compatible with cats-effect typeclasses), and thus FS2 can be used with other effect libraries, such as Monix.

Penlight - A set of pure Lua libraries focusing on input data handling (such as reading configuration files), functional programming (such as map, reduce, placeholder expressions,etc), and OS path management

  •    Lua

Penlight brings together a set of generally useful pure Lua modules, focusing on input data handling (such as reading configuration files), functional programming (such as map, reduce, placeholder expressions, etc), and OS path management. Much of the functionality is inspired by the Python standard libraries. Using LuaRocks: simply run luarocks install penlight.

shell-functools - Functional programming tools for the shell

  •    Python

A collection of functional programming tools for the shell. This project provides higher order functions like map, filter, foldl, sort_by and take_while as simple command-line tools. Following the UNIX philosophy, these commands are designed to be composed via pipes. A large collection of functions such as basename, replace, contains or is_dir are provided as arguments to these commands.

streamjs - Lazy Object Streaming Pipeline for JavaScript

  •    Javascript

Stream.js is a lightweight (2.6 KB minified, gzipped), intensely tested (700+ assertions, 97% coverage) functional programming library for operating upon collections of in-memory data. It requires EcmaScript 5+, has built-in support for ES6 features and works in all current browsers, Node.js and Java 8 Nashorn. Before explaining how Stream.js works in detail, here's a few real world code samples.

Protonpack - Stream utilities for Java 8

  •    Java

A small collection of Stream utilities for Java 8. Protonpack provides takeWhile, takeUntil, skipWhile, skipUntil, zip, zipWithIndex, unfold, MapStream, aggregate, Streamable, unique collector.

Vavr - Object-functional language extension to Java

  •    Java

Vavr is an object-functional language extension to Java 8, which aims to reduce the lines of code and increase code quality. It provides persistent collections, functional abstractions for error handling, concurrent programming, pattern matching and much more.

Java8-CheatSheet - A Java 8+ Cheat Sheet for functional programming

  •

A lambda expression cannot stand alone in Java, it need to be associated to a functional interface.

fo - An experimental language which adds functional programming features to Go.

  •    Go

Fo is an experimental language which adds functional programming features to Go. The name is short for "Functional Go". Go already supports many features that functional programmers might want: closures, first-class functions, errors as values, etc. The main feature (and in fact only feature for now) that Fo adds is type polymorphism via generics. Generics encourage functional programming techniques by making it possible to write flexible higher-order functions and type-agnostic data structures.
