E-contact app helps citizens of Dnipro and neighboring regions to solve problems citizens have in their everyday lives by providing a reliable channel of communication with local authorities. Citizens don’t have to know exactly who they should get in touch with – a contact center forwards their complaint to whoever is the responsible branch of local authorities. Let’s say, a road in your district needs repairs, or elevator is not working in your building or gas pipes are leaking.E-contact will help you will all these issues! You can use E-contact to learn what residents of your town or village complain about through the feed or an integrated map that reflects all complaints with their geolocation. You can add your own complaint stating the problem in text format with photos attached and a spot of the map linked to your post. E-contact will deliver the complaint to the responsible party and will notify you as soon as the issue is fixed. Development tools - UIKit, Swift, Objective C.

PixPic - PixPic, a Photo Editing App

What's the best way to teach interns how to write an iOS app? Just let them do it! This app is the result of our interns’ collaboration. This app was created for educational purposes and we used all our common practices just like we do when creating commercial apps. Read more about AGILE on our blog. We followed gitflow approach and merge requests in order to check the code. This approach let our senior developers share their valuable expertise with interns. Delivering builds for testing was automated through Continuous Integration Server. One of our mentors pretended to be a customer who came to us with an idea for an app. While we were working on the app, he regularly received new builds - in time and after each sprint. Guys went the whole way from an idea and basic design concept to generating provisioning profiles and certificates and deploying the final build to iTunes Connect. Here’s where you can check out the app itself.

CleanArchitectureRxSwift - Example of Clean Architecture of iOS app using RxSwift

  •    Swift

The Platform is a concrete implementation of the Domain in a specific platform like iOS. It does hide all implementation details. For example Database implementation whether it is CoreData, Realm, SQLite etc. Application is responsible for delivering information to the user and handling user input. It can be implemented with any delivery pattern e.g (MVVM, MVC, MVP). This is the place for your UIViews and UIViewControllers. As you will see from the example app, ViewControllers are completely independent of the Platform. The only responsibility of a view controller is to "bind" the UI to the Domain to make things happen. In fact, in the current example we are using the same view controller for Realm and CoreData.

react-native-image-picker - A React Native module that allows you to use native UI to select media from the device library or directly from the camera

  •    Java

This library started as a basic bridge of the native iOS image picker, and I want to keep it that way. As such, functionality beyond what the native UIImagePickerController supports will not be supported here. Multiple image selection, more control over the crop tool, and landscape support are things missing from the native iOS functionality - not issues with my library. If you need these things, react-native-image-crop-picker might be a better choice for you. IMPORTANT NOTE: You'll still need to perform step 4 for iOS and steps 2 and 5 for Android of the manual instructions below.

keychain-swift - Helper functions for saving text in Keychain securely for iOS, OS X, tvOS and watchOS

  •    Swift

Keychain is a secure storage. You can store all kind of sensitive data in it: user passwords, credit card numbers, secret tokens etc. Once stored in Keychain this information is only available to your app, other apps can't see it. Besides that, operating system makes sure this information is kept and processed securely. For example, text stored in Keychain can not be extracted from iPhone backup or from its file system. Apple recommends storing only small amount of data in the Keychain. If you need to secure something big you can encrypt it manually, save to a file and store the key in the Keychain. There are four ways you can add KeychainSwift to your project.

iOS-Hierarchy-Viewer - iOS Hierarchy viewer - View and Coredata debugging made easy

  •    Objective-C

ios-project-env-setup - Setup your iOS project environment with a Shellscript, Makefile or Rakefile

  •    Swift

Nowadays an iOS project is more than only a *.xcodeproj file with some self-written Objective-C or Swift files. We have a lot of direct and indirect external dependencies in our projects and each new developer on the project or the build server have to get these. Developers need these before working on the app and the build server to build and deploy the app. Code: Because we don’t want reinvent the wheel for parts of our apps again and again, we use third-party libraries for common use cases. E.g. we use Alamofire for our network stack. Also, we want use the latest and hopefully greatest version of each dependency, to get the newest features and especially critical bug fixes almost automatically. To reach this goal you should use a dependency manager, which cares about these problems. The principle „never change a running“ system should not apply to third-party dependencies. Especially if these are responsible for critical parts of the app, like encryption.

dynamic_widget - You can dynamic update your flutter page with Flutter Dynamic Widget

  •    Dart

You can dynamic update your flutter page with Flutter Dynamic Widget. It's a light json UI protocol, which is very similar with flutter widget code. So you don't need to learn another UI protocol, if you are familiar with flutter widget, you might already know how to write Flutter Dynamic Widget json. I work for an e-commerce company. We need to build flexible pages. So we define a light UI protocol, and implement on Android and iOS. We can dynamic update App UIs by pushing a json file. With this ability, we can do some UI A/B testing without publishing App to app store. Flutter allows you to build beautiful native apps on iOS and Android from a single codebase, it can allow you to build web app later. Flutter's hot reload helps you quickly and easily experiment, build UIs, add features, and fix bugs faster. But it still build native app, the UIs can't be dynamic updated. If you want to modify the UIs, you need to publish the updated app to app store. With this project, you can build your UIs from a json string, which is the UI protocal. The json string is very similar with the Flutter widget dart code. All widget type and widget properties are the same.

react-native-image-crop-picker - iOS/Android image picker with support for camera, configurable compression, multiple images and cropping

  •    Objective-C

Android: The prop 'cropping' has been known to cause videos not to be display in the gallery on Android. Please do not set cropping to true when selecting videos.Module is creating tmp images which are going to be cleaned up automatically somewhere in the future. If you want to force cleanup, you can use clean to clean all tmp files, or cleanSingle(path) to clean single tmp file.
