Xmi-to-sql - SQL Generation from the Specification in UML and OCL by extracting XMI

  •        805

Xmi-to-sql is meant to be a free library that is capable of converting an xmi file to an sql code. SUMMARY: This project is my final bachelor project. The implementation is meant to be for an Enterprise Architect (v 7.0 and above) project exported as XMI version 2.1. For proper generation the project has to contain a Class Diagram and its version transformed to DDL. INSTALLATIONIMPORTING A LIBRARY FROM SHELL javac -classpath .:/pathtojar/jarname.jar ClassName.java java -classpath .:/pathtojar/jarname.jar ClassName ADDING A LIBRARY TO NETBEANS (v. 7.0 RC2) Open Tools/Libraries and create a new library by clicking New Library.... Set xmi-to-sql as the name of the library and check whether the type is set to Class Libraries. OK. Choose xmi-to-sql in the frame Libraries:. In the tab Classpath click on Add JAR/Folder... and find lib-xmi-to-sql.jar. OK. Now go to your Java/Groovy project. Open the context menu by clicking your right mouse button on the project root and choose Properties. In the frame Categories: select Libraries. In the tab Compile add a new library. CODING IN PROJECTFor basic functionality import following packages: import bak.xmi.to.sql.xmi.*; import bak.xmi.to.sql.parser.*; For validation of an xmi add: import bak.xmi.to.sql.file.validator.*;For generation paste this piece of code in your program where needed. The variable xmiPath is the path to your xmi file: Xmi_processing mp = new Xmi_processing( xmiPath );Parser parser = new MySqlParser( mp.createTables(), Table.constraints );If you like to check whether the transformation from XMI to SQL could be done, add this line: fileValidator2Sql validator = new fileValidator2Sql( xmiPath );Other functions and class descriptions can be found in docs under the Downloads section.
