govmomi - Go library for the VMware vSphere API

A Go library for interacting with VMware vSphere APIs (ESXi and/or vCenter). The APIs exposed by this library very closely follow the API described in the VMware vSphere API Reference Documentation. It includes govcsim package which implements a vSphere Web Services (SOAP) SDK endpoint intended for testing consumers of the API. While the package is written in the Go language, it can be used by any language that can talk to the vSphere API.

ansible-role-mysql - Ansible Role - MySQL

Installs and configures MySQL or MariaDB server on RHEL/CentOS or Debian/Ubuntu servers. The home directory inside which Python MySQL settings will be stored, which Ansible will use when connecting to MySQL. This should be the home directory of the user which runs this Ansible role. The mysql_user_name and mysql_user_password can be set if you are running this role under a non-root user account and want to set a non-root user.

ansible-elasticsearch - Ansible playbook for Elasticsearch

THIS ROLE IS FOR 5.x. FOR 2.x SUPPORT PLEASE USE THE 2.x BRANCH.The latest Elasticsearch versions of 5.x are actively tested. Only Ansible versions > 2.3.2 are supported, as this is currently the only version tested.

ansible-role-apache - Ansible Role - Apache 2.x.

An Ansible Role that installs Apache 2.x on RHEL/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu, SLES and Solaris. If you are using SSL/TLS, you will need to provide your own certificate and key files. You can generate a self-signed certificate with a command like openssl req -x509 -nodes -days 365 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout example.key -out example.crt.

drupal-vm - A VM for Drupal development

Drupal VM is a VM for Drupal, built with Ansible. Drupal VM makes building Drupal development environments quick and easy, and introduces developers to the wonderful world of Drupal development on virtual machines or Docker containers (instead of crufty old MAMP/WAMP-based development).

pyvmomi - VMware vSphere API Python Bindings

pyVmomi is the Python SDK for the VMware vSphere API that allows you to manage ESX, ESXi, and vCenter.

Virtualization Toolbox

A set of small tools to assist in the maintenance and tuning of computers running VMware ESX Server both online (real time) and offline (using the VMware supplied quot;vm-supportquot; script output). --- quot;VMware ESX Serverquot; amp; quot;ESX Serverquot;(tm) VMware, Inc.

ansible-role-nginx - Ansible Role - Nginx

Installs Nginx on RedHat/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu, Archlinux, FreeBSD or OpenBSD servers. This role installs and configures the latest version of Nginx from the Nginx yum repository (on RedHat-based systems), apt (on Debian-based systems), pacman (Archlinux), pkgng (on FreeBSD systems) or pkg_add (on OpenBSD systems). You will likely need to do extra setup work after this role has installed Nginx, like adding your own [virtualhost].conf file inside /etc/nginx/conf.d/, describing the location and options to use for your particular website.

ansible-role-php - Ansible Role - PHP

Installs PHP on RedHat/CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu servers. If you're using an older LTS release of Ubuntu or RHEL, with an old/outdated version of PHP, you need to use a repo or PPA with a maintained PHP version, as this role only works with PHP versions that are currently supported by the PHP community.

ansible-role-jenkins - Ansible Role - Jenkins CI

Installs Jenkins CI on RHEL/CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu servers. Requires curl to be installed on the server. Also, newer versions of Jenkins require Java 8+ (see the test playbooks inside the tests/ directory for an example of how to use newer versions of Java for your OS).

vic - Integrated containers engine on vSphere

vSphere Integrated Containers Engine (VIC Engine) is a container runtime for vSphere, allowing developers familiar with Docker to develop in containers and deploy them alongside traditional VM-based workloads on vSphere clusters, and allowing for these workloads to be managed through the vSphere UI in a way familiar to existing vSphere admins.See VIC Engine Architecture for a high level overview.

RbVmomi - Ruby interface to the VMware vSphere API.

RbVmomi is a Ruby interface to the vSphere API. Like the Perl and Java SDKs, you can use it to manage ESX and vCenter servers. The current release supports the vSphere 6.5 API. RbVmomi specific documentation is online and is meant to be used alongside the official documentation.RbVmomi supports Ruby 1.8.7 and higher, but certain dependencies may need pinning to older versions to get a compatible set of gems.

Libvirt - The virtualization API

Libvirt is collection of software that provides a convenient way to manage virtual machines and other virtualization functionality, such as storage and network interface management. These software pieces include an API library, a daemon (libvirtd), and a command line utility (virsh). It provides a single way to manage multiple different virtualization providers/hypervisors like Xen, OpenVZ, VirualBox, Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor, VMware.

ansible-for-devops - Ansible examples from Ansible for DevOps.

This repository contains Ansible examples developed to support different sections of Ansible for DevOps, a book on Ansible by Jeff Geerling. Most of the examples are full-fledged VM examples, which use Vagrant, VirtualBox, and Ansible to boot and configure VMs on your local workstation. Not all playbooks follow all of Ansible's best practices, as they illustrate particular Ansible features in an instructive manner.

ansible-tuto - Ansible tutorial

This tutorial presents Ansible step-by-step. You'll need to have a (virtual or physical) machine to act as an Ansible node. A Vagrant environment is provided for going through this tutorial. Ansible is a configuration management software that lets you control and configure nodes from another machine. What makes it different from other management software is that Ansible uses (potentially existing) SSH infrastructure, while others (Chef, Puppet, ...) need a specific PKI infrastructure to be set up.
