SwiftServerSide-Vapor - 🦄 Swift server open source projects based on the Swift 4

  •    Swift

This is a Swift Server Side open source project built on the Swift 4.1 and Vapor 3 frameworks. Because of apple’s release of the cool event-driven non-blocking network framework SwiftNIO, Vapor 3 introduced it at a blazing pace, leading to Vapor 2 and Vapor 3. The grammar is very different. For me personally, it looks like the difference between Swift 2 -> Swift 3 is awkward. So I used Vapor 3 to rewrite part of the interface and open it for reference and communication with interested partners. Currently listed in the document API has been deployed in a formal environment application, and will continue to be perfected as needed.

laravel-model-caching - Eloquent model-caching made easy.

  •    PHP

I created this package in response to a client project that had complex, nested forms with many <select>'s that resulted in over 700 database queries on one page. I needed a package that abstracted the caching process out of the model for me, and one that would let me cache custom queries, as well as cache model relationships. This package is an attempt to address those requirements. For best performance a taggable cache provider is recommended (redis, memcached). While this is optional, using a non-taggable cache provider will mean that the entire cache is cleared each time a model is created, saved, updated, or deleted.

sockets - Pure-Swift Sockets: TCP, UDP; Client, Server; Linux, macOS.

gitignore.io - Create useful .gitignore files for your project

  •    Javascript

To run gitignore.io from your command line you need an active internet connection and an environment function. You need to add a function to your environment that lets you access the gitignore.io API.

Redisson - Redis based In-Memory Data Grid for Java

  •    Java

Redisson - distributed Java objects and services (Set, Multimap, SortedSet, Map, List, Queue, BlockingQueue, Deque, BlockingDeque, Semaphore, Lock, AtomicLong, Map Reduce, Publish / Subscribe, Bloom filter, Spring Cache, Executor service, Tomcat Session Manager, Scheduler service, JCache API) on top of Redis server. Rich Redis client.

ledge - An RFC compliant and ESI capable HTTP cache for Nginx / OpenResty, backed by Redis

  •    Lua

An RFC compliant and ESI capable HTTP cache for Nginx / OpenResty, backed by Redis. Ledge can be utilised as a fast, robust and scalable alternative to Squid / Varnish etc, either installed standalone or integrated into an existing Nginx server or load balancer.

node-oauth2-provider - A simple customizable OAuth 2.0 provider (server) for node.js.

  •    Javascript

This is a node.js module for implementing OAuth2 servers (providers) that support server-side (code) and client-side (token) OAuth flows. It's very customizable, so you can (and currently, must) take care of OAuth token storage and client lists. In the future, a Mongo or Redis backed abstraction will be provided so you don't need to care about any kind of storage at all.

laravel-visits - 📊 Laravel Visits is a counter that can be attached to any model to track its visits based on Redis

  •    PHP

In Laravel 5.4. you'll manually need to register the awssat\Visits\VisitsServiceProvider::class service provider in config/app.php.

tomcat-redis-session-manager - Redis-backed non-sticky session store for Apache Tomcat

  •    Java

Sessions are stored into Redis immediately upon creation for use by other servers. Sessions are loaded as requested directly from Redis (but subsequent requests for the session during the same request context will return a ThreadLocal cache rather than hitting Redis multiple times.) In order to prevent collisions (and lost writes) as much as possible, session data is only updated in Redis if the session has been modified. The manager relies on the native expiration capability of Redis to expire keys for automatic session expiration to avoid the overhead of constantly searching the entire list of sessions for expired sessions.

lettuce-core - Advanced Java Redis client for thread-safe sync, async, and reactive usage

  •    Java

Advanced and thread-safe Java Redis client for synchronous, asynchronous, and reactive usage. Supports Cluster, Sentinel, Pipelining, Auto-Reconnect, Codecs and much more.

readthis - :newspaper: Pooled active support compliant caching with redis

  •    Ruby

Readthis is a Redis backed cache client for Ruby. It is a drop in replacement for any ActiveSupport compliant cache and can also be used for session storage. Above all Readthis emphasizes performance, simplicity, and explicitness. For new projects there isn't any reason to stick with Memcached. Redis is as fast, if not faster in many scenarios, and is far more likely to be used elsewhere in the stack. See this blog post for more details.
