asm-dom - A minimal WebAssembly virtual DOM to build C++ SPA (Single page applications)

  •    C++

asm-dom is a minimal WebAssembly virtual DOM to build C++ SPA (Single page applications). You can write an entire SPA in C++ and compile it to WebAssembly (or asmjs as fallback) using Emscripten, asm-dom will call DOM APIs for you. This will produce an app that aims to execute at native speed by taking advantage of common hardware capabilities, also, you can use your C/C++ code without any change, you haven't to create a binding layer to use it (as we have to do if we want to use a C++ lib from JS). Basically we are creating an app in C++ that call javascript if needed instead of the opposite. You can write only once in C++ and share as much code as possible with desktop/mobile apps and web site. If you want to learn more about performance, please see this. asm-dom is a low-level virtual DOM library. It is unopinionated with regards to how you should structure your application.

zlib-ng - zlib replacement with optimizations for "next generation" systems.

  •    C

The motivation for this fork was due to seeing several 3rd party contributions containing new optimizations not getting implemented into the official zlib repository. Mark Adler has been maintaining zlib for a very long time, and he has done a great job and hopefully he will continue for a long time yet. The idea of zlib-ng is not to replace zlib, but to co-exist as a drop-in replacement with a lower threshold for code change.

JZlib - Zlib in Java

JZlib is a re-implementation of zlib in pure Java. JZlib can inflate data, which is deflated by zlib and JZlib can generate deflated data, which is acceptable and is inflated by zlib. JZlib supports all compression level and all flushing mode in zlib.

zlib in Ch

The Ch zlib package is a Ch interface to the zlib C library. Ch zlib enables all functions in the zlib library to run in Ch interpretively without compilation. It is ideal for network computing and a newer to learn.

flate2-rs - DEFLATE, gzip, and zlib bindings for Rust

  •    C

A streaming compression/decompression library DEFLATE-based streams in Rust. This crate by default uses the miniz_oxide crate, a port of miniz.c to pure Rust. This crate also supports other backends, such as the widely available zlib library or the high-performance zlib-ng library.

ammo.js - Direct port of the Bullet physics engine to JavaScript using Emscripten

  •    C++

ammo.js is a direct port of the Bullet physics engine to JavaScript, using Emscripten. The source code is translated directly to JavaScript, without human rewriting, so functionality should be identical to the original Bullet. ammo.js is zlib licensed, just like Bullet.

box2d.js - Port of Box2D to JavaScript using Emscripten

  •    C

box2d.js is a direct port of the Box2D 2D physics engine to JavaScript, using Emscripten. The source code is translated directly to JavaScript, without human rewriting, so functionality should be identical to the original Box2D. box2d.js is zlib licensed, just like Box2D.

ZLib for Ada thick binding.

The ZLib.Ada is a thick binding to the popular compression/decompression library ZLib http://www.gzip.org/zlib/. ZLib.Ada provide Ada style access to the ZLib C library.

  •    C

Library for loading PNG files for the Allegro library. Does not depend on libpng nor zlib (however can take advantage of zlib if installed).

pako - high speed zlib port to javascript, works in browser & node.js

  •    Javascript

zlib's test is partially affected by marshalling (that make sense for inflate only). You can change deflate level to 0 in benchmark source, to investigate details. For deflate level 6 results can be considered as correct.

ZLib dotNet Wrapper

  •    C++

Microsoft .NET Stream-derived objects that wrap ZLib inflate and deflate as well as Base-64 functions (C++ Mixed Mode implementation)

zlib - A Massively Spiffy Yet Delicately Unobtrusive Compression Library

  •    C

zlib is a general purpose data compression library. All the code is thread safe. It is ported to different programming languages like Java, CSharp, Python and Perl.

miniz - miniz: Single C source file zlib-replacement library, originally from code

  •    C

Miniz is a lossless, high performance data compression library in a single source file that implements the zlib (RFC 1950) and Deflate (RFC 1951) compressed data format specification standards. It supports the most commonly used functions exported by the zlib library, but is a completely independent implementation so zlib's licensing requirements do not apply. Miniz also contains simple to use functions for writing .PNG format image files and reading/writing/appending .ZIP format archives. Miniz's compression speed has been tuned to be comparable to zlib's, and it also has a specialized real-time compressor function designed to compare well against fastlz/minilzo. Please use the files from the releases page in your projects. Do not use the git checkout directly! The different source and header files are amalgamated into one miniz.c/miniz.h pair in a build step (amalgamate.sh). Include miniz.c and miniz.h in your project to use Miniz.

Objective-Zip - An object-oriented friendly wrapper library for ZLib and MiniZip, in Objective-C for iOS and OS X

  •    C

Objective-Zip is a small Objective-C library that wraps ZLib and MiniZip in an object-oriented friendly way. Please note that ZLib and MiniZip are included here only to provide a complete and self-contained package, but they are copyrighted by their respective authors and redistributed on respect of their software license. Please refer to their websites (linked above) for more informations.

nbind - :sparkles: Magical headers that make your C++ library accessible from JavaScript :rocket:

  •    C++

nbind is a set of headers that make your C++11 library accessible from JavaScript. With a single #include statement, your C++ compiler generates the necessary bindings without any additional tools. Your library is then usable as a Node.js addon or, if compiled to asm.js with Emscripten, directly in web pages without any plugins. nbind works with the autogypi dependency management tool, which sets up node-gyp to compile your library without needing any configuration (other than listing your source code file names).

sql.js - SQLite compiled to JavaScript through Emscripten

  •    Javascript

sql.js is a port of SQLite to JavaScript, by compiling the SQLite C code with Emscripten. It uses a virtual database file stored in memory, and thus doesn't persist the changes made to the database. However, it allows you to import any existing sqlite file, and to export the created database as a javascript typed array. There is no C bindings or node-gyp compilation here, sql.js is a simple javascript file, that can be used like any traditional javascript library. If you are building a native application in javascript (using Electron for instance), or are working in node.js, you will likely prefer to use a native binding of SQLite to javascript.

Palm Zlib Database Viewer

  •    C

A small (below 16K) database viewer for viewing Zlib compressed CSV databases on Palm handhelds (PalmOS 3 or higher). It does not try to be fast, but rather to use as little storage memory as possible.

FakeNES is a highly portable, Open Source NES and Famicom emulator. It runs on all modern operating systems and has an actively maintained DOS port for enthusiasts. Support for phones and other mobile platforms is under development. The majority of the project is entirely original code released under the zlib/libpng license. Contributed and third-party code is included under GNU licenses.

This is a warp of ZLib, to make the use of Zlib simple.
