My Style is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to insert custom CSS into pages, immediately see the visual results, and have that CSS persist for future visits. This CSS will be reinserted upon revisiting Techcrunch, thereby saving your styles. Pressing control + m once more will hide the textarea, but your contents will still be retained.

css-ratiocinator - because your CSS is garbage

  •    Javascript

The CSS Ratiocinator automatically refactors your CSS and generates a new stylesheet for your site. It works by examining your site's live DOM in the browser and reverse engineering a new, more elegant definition that captures styles down to the pixel. It addresses the problem of old CSS whose styles accumulate and contradict each other. After a certain point all CSS seems to grow only by internal antagonism. The Ratiocinator wipes the slate clean and provides a harmonious new beginning.

pure - A set of small, responsive CSS modules that you can use in every web project.

  •    HTML

Now, all Pure CSS files should be built into the `pure/build/` directory. Allfiles that are in this build directory are also available on the CDN. The namingconventions of the files in the `build/` directory follow these rules:* `[module]-core.css`: The minimal set of styles, ususally structural, that provide the base on which the rest of the module's styles build.* `[module]-nr.css`: Rollup of `[module]-core.css` + `[module].css` + `[module]-[feature].css` from the `src/[module]/` dir. isomorphic-style-loader - CSS style loader for Webpack that is optimized for isomorphic (universal) web apps

  •    Javascript

CSS style loader for Webpack that works similarly to style-loader, but is optimized for critical path CSS rendering and also works great in the context of isomorphic apps. It provides two helper methods on to the styles object - ._insertCss() (injects CSS into the DOM) and ._getCss() (returns a CSS string).Note: Configuration is the same for both client-side and server-side bundles. For more information visit https://webpack.js.org/configuration/module/.

vogue - Save a CSS file, watch your web browser automatically reload it!

  •    Javascript

Vogue creates a real-time link between your web browser and your file system. When you save a CSS file, used by the HTML page in your browser, Vogue will make the browser reload the stylesheet. Only the stylesheet is reloaded, not the entire page, making it work even for very dynamic/ajax pages.Vogue is all javascript. It runs a server on Node.js, which will watch the file system. The server accepts WebSocket connections from the client code (which uses socket.io). The client javascript can be loaded into a HTML page using a single script tag.

react-inline - Transform inline styles defined in JavaScript modules into static CSS code and class names so they become available to, e

  •    Javascript

Note: Thanks to the new possibilities of Babel v6+, there's also my babel-plugin-css-in-js project, which works exactly the same but doesn't require a separate CLI/API. If you're using Babel for code transpilation, just put babel-plugin-css-in-js in your build pipeline. Transform inline styles defined in JavaScript modules into static CSS code and class names so they become available to, e.g. the className prop of React elements.

CKEditor - The best browser-based WYSIWYG editor

  •    Javascript

CKEditor is a text editor to be used inside web pages. It's a WYSIWYG editor, which means that the text being edited on it looks as similar as possible to the results users have when publishing it. It brings to the web common editing features found on desktop editing applications like Microsoft Word and OpenOffice. It's an editor to be used inside web pages.

github-markdown-css - The minimal amount of CSS to replicate the GitHub Markdown style

  •    HTML

Import the github-markdown.css file and add a markdown-body class to the container of your rendered Markdown and set a width for it. GitHub uses 980px width and 45px padding, and 15px padding for mobile.See generate-github-markdown-css for how it's generated and ability to generate your own.

  •    Javascript

A plugin for Babel v6 which transforms inline styles defined in JavaScript modules into class names so they become available to, e.g. the className prop of React elements. While transforming, the plugin processes all JavaScript style definitions found and bundles them up into a CSS file, ready to be requested from your web server. babel-plugin-css-in-js works seamlessly on both client and server. It has built-in support for media queries, pseudo-classes, attribute selectors, and theming. The plugin's options allow you to configure vendor-prefixing, minification, and class name compression.

styledocco - Automatically generate a style guide from your stylesheets.

  •    Javascript

StyleDocco generates documentation and style guide documents from your stylesheets. Stylesheet comments will be parsed through Markdown and displayed in a generated HTML document. You can write HTML code prefixed with 4 spaces or between code fences (```) in your comments, and StyleDocco show a preview with the styles applied, and displays the example HTML code.

style-prototype - Example of an HTML/CSS style tile.

  •    CSS

A style prototype is a single HTML page which outlines site colors, typography, photographic style, button styles, rollovers, and other necessary elements to establish design direction. In a sense, it is a safety measure intended to avoid rehashing (or completely scrapping) site designs in which hours of time and budget have been invested. Samantha Warren introduced us to the great idea of presenting designed web elements to clients before creating full site comps. She refers to her Photoshop-based creations as Style Tiles, and they contain most of the same elements that a Style Prototype typically would. However, a Style Prototype takes things one step further into the medium of the web. Rather than present the client a JPG of your Photoshop document, show them a responsive HTML/CSS Style Prototype instead.

style-dictionary - A build system for creating cross-platform styles.

  •    Javascript

Style once, use everywhere. A Style Dictionary is a system that allows you to define styles once, in a way for any platform or language to consume. A single place to create and edit your styles, and a single command exports these rules to all the places you need them - iOS, Android, CSS, JS, HTML, sketch files, style documentation, etc. It is available as a CLI through npm, but can also be used like any normal node module if you want to extend its functionality.

Skeleton - A Dead Simple, Responsive Boilerplate for Mobile-Friendly Development

  •    CSS

Skeleton is lightweight and simple. It styles only raw HTML elements (with a few exceptions) and provides a responsive grid. Skeleton only styles a handful of standard HTML elements and includes a grid, but that's often more than enough to get started. The grid is a 12-column fluid grid with a max width of 960px, that shrinks with the browser/device at smaller sizes.

sanitize.css - A best-practices CSS foundation

  •    CSS

sanitize.css is a CSS library that provides consistent, cross-browser default styling of HTML elements alongside useful defaults. normalize.css and sanitize.css correct browser bugs while carefully testing and documenting changes. normalize.css styles adhere to css specifications. sanitize.css styles adhere to common developer expectations and preferences. reset.css unstyles all elements. Both sanitize.css and normalize.css are maintained in sync.

Donatello - Pure-CSS drawing library for the browser.

  •    Javascript

Donatello is a pure-CSS drawing library for the browser. The API is inspired in part by Raphael.js. All graphical elements are rendered using HTML DOM and CSS. The idea came together from various code snippets I had lying around for drawing circles and lines in other projects. I decided to make an attepmpt at a drawing API using these ideas after using Raphael.js in my Node Knockout team project. Donatello aims to provide a familiar drawing API similar to Raphael and other drawing libraries. Since all rendering is done using HTML and CSS, and a lot of effort is going toward optimizing CSS using graphics acceleration in the major browsers, there is the opportunity to do very efficient and performant drawing in the browser using this technique. In future versions I hope to be able to leverage CSS animations and transitions for efficient hardware-accelerated animations.

sanitize.css - The best-practices CSS foundation

  •    HTML

sanitize.css is a CSS library that corrects broken and missing styles in all browsers, preserving useful defaults rather than unstyling everything. It’s developed alongside normalize.css, so every normalization includes the browsers or browser versions being targeted, and every opinionated change is marked and documented. normalize.css and sanitize.css correct browser bugs while carefully testing and documenting changes. normalize.css styles adhere to css specifications. sanitize.css styles adhere to common developer expectations and preferences. reset.css unstyles all elements. Both sanitize.css and normalize.css are maintained in sync.

react-native-style-tachyons - Better styling for React Native

  •    Javascript

React Native Style Tachyons brings functional styling to react-native. It is inspired by Tachyons and uses it's scales and naming convention. More about the advantages of this approach. Of course you can use your old styles along tachyons' classes.

viewport-units-buggyfill - Making viewport units (vh|vw|vmin|vmax) work properly in Mobile Safari.

  •    Javascript

This is a buggyfill (fixing bad behavior), not a polyfill (adding missing behavior). That said, it provides hacks for you to get viewport units working in old IE and Android Stock Browser as well. If the browser doesn't know how to deal with the viewport units - vw, vh, vmin and vmax - this library will not improve the situation unless you're using the hacks detailed below. The buggyfill uses the CSSOM to access the defined styles rather than ship its own CSS parser, that'S why the hacks abuse the CSS property content to get the values across. The buggyfill iterates through all defined styles the document knows and extracts those that uses a viewport unit. After resolving the relative units against the viewport's dimensions, CSS is put back together and injected into the document in a <style> element. Listening to the orientationchange event allows the buggyfill to update the calculated dimensions accordingly.

nanohtml - :dragon: HTML template strings for the Browser with support for Server Side Rendering in Node

  •    Javascript

HTML template strings for the Browser with support for Server Side Rendering in Node. By default all content inside template strings is escaped. This is great for strings, but not ideal if you want to insert HTML that's been returned from another function (for example: a markdown renderer). Use nanohtml/raw for to interpolate HTML directly.
