Stash - A PHP Caching Library

  •        703

Stash makes it easy to speed up your code by caching the results of expensive functions or code. Certain actions, like database queries or calls to external APIs, take a lot of time to run but tend to have the same results over short periods of time. This makes it much more efficient to store the results and call them back up later.

yii2-redis - Yii 2 Redis extension.

  •    PHP

This extension provides the redis key-value store support for the Yii framework 2.0. It includes a Cache and Session storage handler and implements the ActiveRecord pattern that allows you to store active records in redis. For license information check the LICENSE-file.

Memcached - distributed object caching system

  •    C

Memcached is high-performance, distributed memory object caching system, generic in nature, but intended for use in speeding up dynamic web applications by alleviating database load. Memcached is an in-memory key-value store for small chunks of arbitrary data (strings, objects) from results of database calls, API calls, or page rendering.

ApsaraCache - Redis branch originated from Alibaba Group.

  •    C

ApsaraCache is based on the Redis official release 4.0 and has many features and performance enhancements. ApsaraCache has proven to be very stable and efficient in production environment. ApsaraCache supports two main protocols of Memcached: the classic ASCII, and the newer binary. You can use ApsaraCache just as Memcached, and no client code need to be modified. You can persist your data by using ApsaraCache in Memcached mode just like Redis.

keyv - Simple key-value storage with support for multiple backends

  •    Javascript

Keyv provides a consistent interface for key-value storage across multiple backends via storage adapters. It supports TTL based expiry, making it suitable as a cache or a persistent key-value store.Install Keyv.

Sophia - Advanced transactional MVCC key-value/row storage library

  •    C

Sophia is RAM-Disk hybrid storage. It is designed to provide best possible on-disk performance without degradation in time. It has guaranteed O(1) worst case complexity for read, write and range scan operations. It provides Full ACID compliancy, MVCC engine, Optimistic, non-blocking concurrency with N-writers and M-readers, Prefix search, Automatic key-expire, Implemented as small C-written library with zero dependencies and lot more.

Pika - nosql compatible with redis, it is developed by Qihoo's DBA and infrastructure team

  •    C++

Pika is a persistent huge storage service , compatible with the vast majority of redis interfaces (details), including string, hash, list, zset, set and management interfaces. With the huge amount of data stored, redis may suffer for a capacity bottleneck, and pika was born for solving it. Except huge storage capacity, pika also support master-slave mode by slaveof command, including full and partial synchronization.

Dynomite - Making Non-Distributed Databases, Distributed

  •    C

Dynomite, inspired by Dynamo whitepaper, is a thin, distributed dynamo layer for different storages and protocols. Dynomite is a sharding and replication layer. Dynomite can make existing non distributed datastores, such as Redis or Memcached, into a fully distributed & multi-datacenter replicating datastore.

ForestDB - A Fast Key-Value Storage Engine Based on Hierarchical B+-Tree Trie

  •    C++

ForestDB is a key-value storage engine developed by Couchbase Caching and Storage Team, and its main index structure is built from Hierarchical B+-Tree based Trie, called HB+-Trie. ForestDB paper has been published in IEEE Transactions on Computers.

pickleDB - Key-value store using Python's simplejson module

  •    Python

pickleDB is a lightweight and simple key-value store. It is built upon Python's simplejson module and was inspired by redis.

membase - distributed key-value database

  •    C

Membase is an distributed, key-value database management system optimized for storing data behind interactive web applications. These applications must service many concurrent users, creating, storing, retrieving, aggregating, manipulating and presenting data in real-time. Supporting these requirements, membase processes data operations with quasi-deterministic low latency and high sustained throughput.

kumofs - kumofs is a scalable and highly available distributed key-value store.

  •    C

Kumofs is a simple and fast distributed key-value store. You can use a memcached client library to set, get, CAS or delete values from/into kumofs. Backend storage is Tokyo Cabinet and it will give you great performance.

readthis - :newspaper: Pooled active support compliant caching with redis

  •    Ruby

Readthis is a Redis backed cache client for Ruby. It is a drop in replacement for any ActiveSupport compliant cache and can also be used for session storage. Above all Readthis emphasizes performance, simplicity, and explicitness. For new projects there isn't any reason to stick with Memcached. Redis is as fast, if not faster in many scenarios, and is far more likely to be used elsewhere in the stack. See this blog post for more details.

catbox - Multi-strategy object caching service

  •    Javascript

catbox is a multi-strategy key-value object store. It comes with extensions supporting a memory cache, Redis, MongoDB, Memcached, Riak, Amazon S3, RethinkDB, Couchbase, Aerospike and LevelDB.catbox provides two interfaces: a low-level Client and a high-level Policy.

redis-lua - A Lua client library for the redis key value storage system.

  •    C

huststore is a open source high performance distributed database system. It not only provides key-value storage service with extremely high performance, up to 100 thousand QPS, but also supports data structures like hash, set, sorted set, etc. Also, it can store binary data as value from a key-value pair, and thus can be used as an alternative of Redis. In addtion, huststore implements a distributed message queue by integrating a special HA module, features including message Push Stream, and message Publish-SubScribe, these features can be used as replacements of the corresponding features in rabbitmq and gearman.
