yall.js - A fast, flexible, and small image lazy loader!

  •    Javascript

yall.js is a featured-packed lazy loading script for <img>, <picture>, <video> and <iframe> elements. It works in all modern browsers including IE11. It uses Intersection Observer where available, but falls back to scroll, touchmove, resize, and orientationchange events where necessary. It can also monitor the DOM for changes using Mutation Observer to lazy load image elements that have been appended to the DOM after initial page render, which may be desirable for single page applications. It can also (optionally) optimize use of browser idle time using requestIdleCallback. To optimize decoding of <img> lazy loading for simple src and srcset use cases, yall.js uses Image.decode where available to decode images asynchronously before adding them to the DOM.

blazy - Hey, be lazy! bLazy

  •    Javascript

bLazy is a lightweight script for lazy loading and multi-serving images, iframes, videos and more (less than 1.4KB minified and gzipped). It’s written in pure JavaScript why it doesn’t depend on 3rd-party libraries such as jQuery. It lets you lazy load and multi-serve your images so you can save bandwidth and server requests. The user will have faster load times and save data usage if he/she doesn't browse the whole page. If you don't want to host the script yourself you can link to the latest minified file: //cdn.jsdelivr.net/blazy/latest/blazy.min.js on jsDelivr. Exchange latest with the specific version number if you want to lock it in.

loadJS - A simple function for asynchronously loading JavaScript files

  •    Javascript

Place the loadJS function inline in the head of your page (it can also be included in an external JavaScript file if preferable). Number 2 above is the main reason we use loadJS. Say you want to check if querySelector is supported before requesting your entire DOM framework and UI scripting - you'll need to use a script loader to do that. But again, if you just want to load a script unconditionally, these attributes are recommended.

react-video - 🎞 React component to load video from Vimeo or Youtube across any device.

  •    Javascript

A pretty good and effective way to create a video placeholder from Youtube or Vimeo using a high-res image. If you don't know, when an <iframe> is rendered from browser, it blocks its parse because it isn't a non-blocking script. This isn't so good to your user, no?. With this react component, the <iframe> just will be loaded when the user click on play. NOTICE: You need just one thing to make the component work. Put the base component style at the <header> tag. If you don't wanna use the .css extension, you can get the .styl or .scss extension at the folder ./lib.

pm2 - Node.js Production Process Manager with a built-in Load Balancer

  •    Javascript

PM2 is a production process manager for Node.js applications with a built-in load balancer. It allows you to keep applications alive forever, to reload them without downtime and to facilitate common system admin tasks.PM2 is constantly assailed by more than 1800 tests.

Grinder - Java Load Testing Framework

  •    Java

The Grinder is a Java load testing framework that makes it easy to run a distributed test using many load injector machines. Load test anything that has a Java API. This includes common cases such as HTTP web servers, SOAP and REST web services, and application servers (CORBA, RMI, JMS, EJBs), as well as custom protocols.

Apache JMeter - Pure Java application for load and functional testing

  •    Java

Apache JMeter may be used to test performance both on static and dynamic resources (files, Servlets, Perl scripts, Java Objects, Data Bases and Queries, FTP Servers and more). It can be used to simulate a heavy load on a server, network or object to test its strength or to analyze overall performance under different load types. You can use it to make a graphical analysis of performance or to test your server/script/object behavior under heavy concurrent load.

basket.js - A script and resource loader for caching & loading files with localStorage

  •    Javascript

Modern web applications will typically make use of more than one JavaScript or CSS framework. As the number of scripts add up, so does the number of HTTP requests. This leads to increased page load times and reduced performance. Basket.js is a project dedicated to aleviating this problem. Basket.js loads your site's scripts into a page and saves them in localStorage so they can be reused after the session until they are expired. It also checks to see if the scripts are already in localStorage, and if not, loads them. This prevents unneccessary reloading of scripts and can improve load time and website performance.

jmeter-ec2 - Automates running Apache JMeter on Amazon EC2

  •    Shell

This shell script will allow you to run your local JMeter jmx files either using Amazon's EC2 service or you can provide it with a simple, comma-delimited list of hosts to use. Summary results are printed to the console as the script runs and then all result data is downloaded and concatenated to one file when the test completes ready for more detailed analysis offline. By default it will launch the required hardware using Amazon EC2. Using AWS it is much easier and cheaper to scale your test over multiple slaves but if you need to you can also pass in a list of pre-prepared hostnames and the test load will be distributed over these instead. Using your own servers can be useful when the target server to be tested can not be easily accessed from a location external to your test network or you want to repeat a test iteratively.

meteor-load-test - Load testing tool for Meteor applications

  •    Clojure

A load testing tool for Meteor applications. This tool utilizes the Grinder to manage agents which execute a customized test script capable of speaking DDP with the target Meteor server. Each agent simulates 1 or more client connections and records performance metrics.

justice - Embeddable script for displaying web page performance metrics.

  •    Javascript

The FPS meter does not support budgets at this time but does color code the spline (or optional dot type) chart, assuming a goal of 60 FPS. The "requests" metric also supports budgets and is unique in that it polls for changes to that metric over time, since most webpages these days load a boat load of stuff async after page load. In the future it would be possible to seperate this metric into "Sync Requests" and "Async Requests". But not right now.

PowerShell Script Commander

eZ Server Monitor - Script for Monitoring Linux servers

  •    PHP

eZ Server Monitor (eSM) is a script for monitoring Linux servers. It is available in Bash version and Web application. In its Web version, eSM is a PHP script which provides a web page containing information such as the operating system, the number of users connected to the server, the system load, CPU, memory RAM, available disk space, bandwidth usage, and especially the port monitoring services such as FTP, SMTP, Web, etc.

script.js - Asyncronous JavaScript loader and dependency manager

  •    Javascript

$script.js is an asynchronous JavaScript loader and dependency manager with an astonishingly impressive lightweight footprint. Like many other script loaders, $script.js allows you to load script resources on-demand from any URL and not block other resources from loading (like CSS and images). Furthermore, it's unique interface allows developers to work easily with even the most complicated dependencies, which can often be the case for large, complex web applications. Optionally to make working with large projects easier, there is a path variable you can set to set as a base.

requirejs - A file and module loader for JavaScript

  •    Javascript

RequireJS loads plain JavaScript files as well as more defined modules. It is optimized for in-browser use, including in a Web Worker, but it can be used in other JavaScript environments, like Rhino and Node. It implements the Asynchronous Module API. RequireJS uses plain script tags to load modules/files, so it should allow for easy debugging. It can be used simply to load existing JavaScript files, so you can add it to your existing project without having to re-write your JavaScript files.

svgxuse - A simple polyfill that fetches external SVGs referenced in use elements when the browser itself fails to do so

  •    Javascript

A simple polyfill that fetches external SVGs referenced in <use> elements when the browser itself fails to do so. IE (9, 10, 11) fails to load symbol-defs.svg in the example above. svgxuse goes through every <use> element. If the element is referencing an external SVG and the browser has failed to load it, the script sends a GET request to grab and prepend the SVG to <body>.

goloader - load and run golang code at runtime.

  •    Go

Goloader can load and run Golang code at runtime. Goloader works like a linker: it relocates the address of symbols in an object file, generates runnable code, and then reuses the runtime function and the type pointer of the loader.
