vue-directory-tree - A visualization of relevant files for vue repo, along with notes

  •        2

🎋 Often when we're excited about contributing to a project, it takes a little while to understand the codebase even before we get started. It's estimated that developers spend 70% of their time reading code and only 30% writing. This project documents how Vue.js is set up with special notes taken from a Vue core meeting with Evan You. This should help guide people through the directory structure and give context to how and why things are set up the way that they are so that they can get set up to contribute as soon as possible. Shows the whole Vue.js repo directory structure, with only the sections with notes shown initially. Any files that we have more info on have a note (exposed on hover). All notes and open directories are in the Vuex store.

project-explorer - 🎋A CLI tool to create an annotated tree visualization of any project

  •    Javascript

Create a tree visualization of any project with this CLI tool. When ramping people up on an existing codebase, there's often a lot of state they have to understand about the project- where everything is, where everything starts, exceptional files. With this tool, you can generate a visualization of any project, as well modify certain directories to be open, or have notes that people can read through easily. A working example of this exists here. I created this for Vue core off of notes taken at a core meeting as Evan You walked us through some of the file structure.

vue-inspector is a basic inspector for Vue.js that works with mobile devices. It could work in a desktop environment, but I do not recommend that; use Vue.js devtools instead. With vue-inspector is possible to execute JavaScript code directly in your mobile browser and get error messages generated at run-time. Also inspect the data, props, router links, views/components, computed properties, routes, Vuex and more... inside your Vue.js project.

meal-prep - Source code for a 4-part series I wrote about Vue, Vue Router, Vuex and Vuetify

  •    Vue

This is the source code for a four-part series I wrote on creating a Vue.js application that also uses Vue-Router, Vuetify and Vuex. The articles take you through creating a Vue application and then adding on to it until you have created a fully functional meal delivery website. As I mentioned this source code is the final code created as part of four articles I wrote on creating a Vue.js application using Vue-Router, Vuex, Vuetify and Firebase. Here are links to each version of the articles: Part 1 - Covers creating the application and adding Vuetify for styling. Part 2 - Covers using Vue Router to add navigating between pages in the application. Part 3 - Covers adding Vuex for state management. Also we connect to a Recipes API to get content for our application. Part 4 - Covers using Firebase for Authentication. Users can create an account and order recipes. When they login to their account they will see their orders.

vue-vscode-snippets - These snippets were built to supercharge my workflow in the most seamless manner possible

  •    Javascript

These snippets were built to supercharge my workflow in the most seamless manner possible. This repo was built particularly for real world use. It doesn't catalogue the API definitions, and it's not a kitchen sink approach. Rather, it focuses on developer ergonomics from the point of Vue of real world use. Included are the pieces I personally get sick of typing, have to keep looking up, or forget to consider while developing that I make more use of when they're at my fingertips.

vue-django - @Django integrated with a full-featured @Webpack + (@vuejs / vue-loader) setup with hot reload, linting, testing & css extraction

  •    Javascript

@NdagiStanley has mirrored the fork to have this repo here. This starterpack has proved useful to many and I thank you for the emails I have received from all of you. The reasoning behind this mirror is that this is an effort to support the users more by developing further on this project. From here on, I am calling on all potential collaborators by making it easier to make PRs and adding utility of Issues in this 'new' repo (Of course with the same name :) ). Lastly, just so you know, I'll be keeping up with developments in the original. If you are using vue-cli@1.x, it will be pulling the master branch of this template by default. If you are using vue-cli@2.x, it will be pulling the dist branch instead, which provides more configurable options thanks to new features in vue-cli@2.x. It is recommended to upgrade vue-cli as soon as you can.
