grunt-newer-explicit - Grunt Task for running tasks if source files are newer only.

  •        3

Grunt Task for running tasks if source files are newer only. This mimics the behaviour of good old Unix build tool make(1) within the Grunt build tool, i.e., destination files are only built if either the destination file is still not existing at all or the corresponding source files are newer. As a result, on subsequent build runs, this allows you to rebuild just those artifacts which are really out-of-date.

rtl8812AU - Realtek 8812AU USB WiFi driver

  •    C

This repository contains drivers for the rtl8812AU and rtl8821AU/rtl8811AU chipsets. It started out because I found a newer driver then I found elsewhere, namely version 4.3.8. But since then I found even newer versions released by Realtek and decided to use/update those too. If you find a newer version then I have, I'd appreciate it if you would share it.

grunt-contrib-qunit - Run QUnit unit tests in a headless PhantomJS instance.

  •    Javascript

Run this task with the grunt qunit command. You have chosen to write your unit tests using QUnit, you have written a html page which reports the summary and indivudual details of your unit tests, you are happy with this but realize you miss the ability to have your unit test suite run automatically each time you commit changes to your code.

chrono - Date and time library for Rust

  •    Rust

Any significant changes to Chrono are documented in the CHANGELOG.md file. Chrono currently uses the time::Duration type from the time crate to represent the magnitude of a time span. Since this has the same name to the newer, standard type for duration, the reference will refer this type as OldDuration. Note that this is an "accurate" duration represented as seconds and nanoseconds and does not represent "nominal" components such as days or months.

grunt-ts - A grunt task to manage your complete typescript development to production workflow

  •    Javascript

Grunt-ts is an npm package that handles TypeScript compilation work in GruntJS build scripts. It provides a Grunt-compatible wrapper for the tsc command-line compiler, and provides some additional functionality that improves the TypeScript development workflow. Grunt-ts supports compiling against tsconfig.json or even a Visual Studio project directly. Grunt-ts is itself written in TypeScript. Do you use grunt-ts? Would you like to help keep it up-to-date for new TypeScript versions? Please let @nycdotnet know.

Dremio - The missing link in modern data

  •    Java

Dremio is a self-service data platform that empowers users to discover, curate, accelerate, and share any data at any time, regardless of location, volume, or structure. Modern data is managed by a wide range of technologies, including relational databases, NoSQL datastores, file systems, Hadoop, and others. Many of the newer datastores are often more agile and provide improved scalability, but at a cost to speed and ease of access via traditional SQL-based analysis tools. Additionally, raw data found in these stores is often too complex or inconsistent for analysis to use with business intelligence tools.

devilution - Diablo devolved - magic behind the 1996 computer game

  •    C++

While most titles from Blizzard receive years of love and support, Diablo stayed in the shadows. Abandoned in favor of a sequel, it remained full of bugs and unfinished potential. The game was last patched in 2001 before being discontinued altogether, a problem I wanted to fix. I played Diablo extensively as a teenager, but as time passed it became difficult to run the game on newer hardware. The lack of many improvements found in the sequel also kept it from aging well. At first the game appeared to be a lost cause, but thankfully a little oversight in 1997 made it not so. With Diablo's development team moving on the source code was given to Synergistic Software to handle the expansion. Less known however is that it was also given to Climax Studios to create a PlayStation port. Now Sony has long been known for letting things slide; especially in Japan. Anything from leaking prototypes to full source code and Diablo was no exception. Symbolic information was accidentally left on the Japanese port. Normally used for debugging, a symbol file contains a map of everything generated during compile time. This includes file names, functions, structures, variables, and more! To top it all off a special build is hidden on the PC release in DIABDAT.MPQ -> D1221A.MPQ -> DIABLO.EXE! This build contains debug tools and assert strings further giving away code information.

kafka-python - Python client for Apache Kafka

  •    Python

Python client for the Apache Kafka distributed stream processing system. kafka-python is designed to function much like the official java client, with a sprinkling of pythonic interfaces (e.g., consumer iterators).kafka-python is best used with newer brokers (0.9+), but is backwards-compatible with older versions (to 0.8.0). Some features will only be enabled on newer brokers. For example, fully coordinated consumer groups -- i.e., dynamic partition assignment to multiple consumers in the same group -- requires use of 0.9+ kafka brokers. Supporting this feature for earlier broker releases would require writing and maintaining custom leadership election and membership / health check code (perhaps using zookeeper or consul). For older brokers, you can achieve something similar by manually assigning different partitions to each consumer instance with config management tools like chef, ansible, etc. This approach will work fine, though it does not support rebalancing on failures. See <https://kafka-python.readthedocs.io/en/master/compatibility.html> for more details.
