OpenSceneGraph - 3D graphics toolkit

The OpenSceneGraph is an open source high performance 3D graphics toolkit, used by application developers in fields such as visual simulation, games, virtual reality, scientific visualization and modelling. It is based around the concept of a SceneGraph, providing an object-oriented framework on top of OpenGL. This frees the developer from implementing and optimizing low-level graphics calls and provides many additional utilities for rapid development of graphics applications.

p5.js is a JavaScript library that starts with the original goal of Processing, to make coding accessible for artists, designers, educators, and beginners, and reinterprets this for today's web.Using the original metaphor of a software sketchbook, p5.js has a full set of drawing functionality. However, you're not limited to your drawing canvas, you can think of your whole browser page as your sketch! For this, p5.js has addon libraries that make it easy to interact with other HTML5 objects, including text, input, video, webcam, and sound.

VTK is an open-source software system for image processing, 3D graphics, volume rendering and visualization. VTK includes many advanced algorithms (e.g., surface reconstruction, implicit modelling, decimation) and rendering techniques (e.g., hardware-accelerated volume rendering, LOD control). The JavaScript implementation remain a subset of the actual C++ library but efforts will be made to easily port or compile native VTK code into WebAssembly to better blend both world. The origin of VTK is with the textbook "The Visualization Toolkit, an Object-Oriented Approach to 3D Graphics" originally published by Prentice Hall and now published by Kitware, Inc. (Third Edition ISBN 1-930934-07-6). VTK has grown (since its initial release in 1994) to a world-wide user base in the commercial, academic, and research communities.

Not all companies interview this way but many do or at least include CS fundamental and puzzle questions as part of their processes. GRASS GIS - Geographic Resources Analysis Support System

Geographic Resources Analysis Support System, commonly referred to as GRASS GIS, is a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for data management, image processing, graphics production, spatial modelling, and visualization of many types of data. GRASS supports raster and vector data in two and three dimensions. The vector data model is topological, meaning that areas are defined by boundaries and centroids; boundaries cannot overlap within a single layer.

With G2, users can describe the visual appearance of a visualization just by one statement. MapD - The MapD Core database

MapD Core is an in-memory, column store, SQL relational database that was designed from the ground up to run on GPUs. MapD Core is the foundational element of a larger data exploration platform that emphasizes speed at scale. By taking advantage of the parallel processing power of the hardware, MapD Core can query billions of rows in milliseconds. Furthermore, by using the graphics pipelines of GPUs, MapD Core can render graphics directly from the server.

gibber - An audiovisual live coding environment for the browser

Gibber is a live coding environment for the web browser, using the Gibberish.js audio engine, the CodeMirror code editor library and wrapping Three.js for 3d graphics and shader support. Version 2 of Gibber features a much more efficient audio engine, some interesting mapping abstractions and a server/database backend for publishing and browsing files and collaboratively live coding. In order of preference, Gibber runs in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
