Sample project that shows how to work with different library features is available as sample module. You can also download APK and play with it. Each preference contains optional title, summary and icon (icon can be tinted). Also for some preferences it is mandatory to set default value and key (at least when dealing with SharedPreference as StorageModule).

Themis provides three important cryptographic services Secure messaging, Secure session and Secure storage.
secure-messaging secure-session secure-storage cryptography security libraryAn encrypted and slightly less insecure wrapper for SharedPreferences for Android. SharedPreferences on Android stores all of your values in "plain text", simply protected by the user-restricted file system on Android. If you gain root access to an Android device you have full read/write access to the application preferences of all of the applications installed. Many applications store some kind of application secret (e.g. a communication token, last used account number) using SharedPreferences.
Trousseau is an encrypted key-value store designed to be a simple, safe and trustworthy place for your data. It stores data in a single encrypted file. It supports both asymetric encryption using OpenPGP, and symmetric encryption using AES256. It can be easily synced across devices using Dropbox, OneDrive... It can be exported and imported to/from multiple remote storages using integrated S3, ssh, and gist support. If used with OpenPGP encryption, it is able to restrict access to the data store to a set of recipients.

Oz combines the Hawk authentication protocol with the Iron encryption protocol to provide a simple to use and secure solution for granting and authenticating third-party access to an API on behalf of a user or an application.Protocol version: 5.0.0 (Same as v1.0.0 but moved the expired ticket indicator from a header attribute to the error payload).

It provides support for S/MIME and PGP/OpenPGP secure enveloping, SSL/TLS and SSH secure sessions, CA services such as CMP, SCEP, RTCS, and OCSP, and other security operations such as secure timestamping.

RocksDB builds on LevelDB to be scalable to run on servers with many CPU cores, to efficiently use fast storage, to support IO-bound, in-memory and write-once workloads, and to be flexible to allow for innovation. It is especially suited for storing data on flash drives. It has multi-threaded compactions, making it specially suitable for storing multiple terabytes of data in a single database.

Apache Accumulo is based on Google's BigTable design and is built on top of Apache Hadoop, Zookeeper, and Thrift. Apache Accumulo features a few novel improvements on the BigTable design in the form of cell-based access control and a server-side programming mechanism that can modify key/value pairs at various points in the data management process.

LargeLocalStorage bridges all of that to give you a large capacity (up to several GB when authorized by the user) key-value store in the browser (IE 10, Chrome, Safari 6+, Firefox, Opera).

With Havalo, simply drop havalo.war into your favorite Servlet 3.0 compatible container and with almost no configuration you'll have access to a fast and lightweight K,V store backed by any local mount point for persistent storage.

Writes and deletes happen asynchronously (with callbacks). Every public method is safe to call from the UI thread.
PumpkinDB is a event sourcing database engine that doesn't overwrite data. It features include Immutable key/value storage, ACID transactions, Binary keys and values (allows any encoding to be used: JSON, XML, Protobuf, Cap'n Proto, etc.), An embedded programming language (PumpkinScript), A range of event indexing and querying primitives.
event-sourcing database key-value storage key-value-store concatenativeA feature-filled and friendly way to take advantage of localStorage and sessionStorage (JSON, namespacing, extensions, etc). Passing in false for the optional overwrite parameters will cause set actions to be skipped if the storage already has a value for that key. All set action methods return the previous value for that key, by default. If overwrite is false and there is a previous value, the unused new value will be returned.

It includes both a C library for working with sparkey index and log files (libsparkey), and a command line utility for getting info about and reading values from a sparkey index/log (sparkey).

key-value key-value-store databaseTomP2P is a P2P library and a distributed hash table (DHT) implementation which provides a decentralized key-value infrastructure for distributed applications. Each peer has a table that can be configured either to be disk-based or memory-based to store its values. TomP2P stores key-value pairs in a distributed manner. To find the peers to store the data in the distributed hash table, TomP2P uses an iterative routing to find the closest peers. Since TomP2P uses non-blocking communication, a future object is required to keep track of future results. This key concept is used for all the communication (iterative routing and DHT operations, such as storing a value on multiple peers) in TomP2P and it is also exposed in the API. Thus, an operation such as get or put will return immediately and the user can either block the operation to wait for the completion or add a listener that gets notified when the operation completes.
