drm - Direct Rendering Manager in pure Go

  •        9

The Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) is a kernel framework to manage Graphical Processing Units (GPU). It's a kernel abstractions to GPU drivers and a userspace API designed to support the needs of complex graphics devices. DRM was first implemented on Linux but ported to FreeBSD, NetBSD and Solaris (others?). It's the lower level interface between opengl and the graphics card. With this Go library, theoretically, now it's possible to create a X server or a pure OpenGL library in Go (no bindings).

Media packaging SDK intended for C++ programmers writing DASH/HLS packager applications with common encryption support, Widevine DRM support, Live, and Video-On-Demand.This document provides the information needed to create a DASH/HLS packager that is able to remux and encrypt a video into fragmented ISO BMFF format with common encryption (CENC) support. The DASH/HLS packaging API is also designed in such a way for easy extension to more source and destination formats.

Slave-in-the-Magic-Mirror - Open source implementation of AirPlay Mirroring. WIP.

  •    Python

In short: Apple has a thing that lets you show what's on your iPhone or iPad or Mac on your Apple TV. This lets you see it on your Linux or Mac computer or media center too, maybe. AirPlay Mirroring uses a funky mish-mash of standards wrapped in some DRM. Slave in the Magic Mirror packs the audio and video data into a standard media container and hands it to VLC. The DRM is handled by calling into the original Apple TV server binary using a pure-python ARM interpreter.

Hic sunt dracones. This repository contains multiple implementations of the same 3D scene, using different APIs and frameworks on various platforms. The goal is to provide a comparison between multiple rendering methods. This is inherently biased due to the variety of algorithms used and available CPU/GPU configurations, but can hopefully still provide interesting insights on 3D rendering.

vulkan_minimal_compute - Minimal Example of Using Vulkan for Compute Operations. Only ~400LOC.

  •    C++

This is a simple demo that demonstrates how to use Vulkan for compute operations only. In other words, this demo does nothing related to graphics, and only uses Vulkan to execute some computation on the GPU. For this demo, Vulkan is used to render the Mandelbrot set on the GPU. The demo is very simple, and is only ~400LOC. The code is heavily commented, so it should be useful for people interested in learning Vulkan. The application launches a compute shader that renders the mandelbrot set, by rendering it into a storage buffer. The storage buffer is then read from the GPU, and saved as .png. Check the source code comments for further info.
