BurpSuiteHTTPSmuggler - A Burp Suite extension to help pentesters to bypass WAFs or test their effectiveness using a number of techniques

  •        21

A Burp Suite extension to help pentesters to bypass WAFs or test their effectiveness using a number of techniques. This extension has been developed by Soroush Dalili (@irsdl) from NCC Group. The initial release (v0.1) only supports the Encoding capability that can be quite complicated to be performed manually. See the references for more details.

HUNT

  •    Python

This extension does not test these parameters, but rather alerts on them so that a bug hunter can test them manually. For each class of vulnerability, Bugcrowd has identified common parameters or functions associated with that vulnerability class. We also provide curated resources in the issue description to do thorough manual testing of these vulnerability classes. This extension allows testers to send requests and responses to a Burp Suite tab called "HUNT Methodology". This tab contains a tree on the left side that is a visual representation of your testing methodology. By sending request/responses here testers can organize or attest to having done manual testing in that section of the application or having completed a certain methodology step.

OWASP-Xenotix-XSS-Exploit-Framework - OWASP Xenotix XSS Exploit Framework is an advanced Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability detection and exploitation framework

  •    Python

OWASP Xenotix XSS Exploit Framework is an advanced Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability detection and exploitation framework. It provides Zero False Positive scan results with its unique Triple Browser Engine (Trident, WebKit, and Gecko) embedded scanner. It is claimed to have the world’s 2nd largest XSS Payloads of about 1500+ distinctive XSS Payloads for effective XSS vulnerability detection and WAF Bypass. It is incorporated with a feature rich Information Gathering module for target Reconnaissance. The Exploit Framework includes highly offensive XSS exploitation modules for Penetration Testing and Proof of Concept creation. Antivirus Solutions may detect it as a threat. However it is due to the features in the exploitation framework.

lua-resty-waf - High-performance WAF built on the OpenResty stack

  •    Perl

lua-resty-waf is currently in active development. New bugs and questions opened in the issue tracker will be answered within a day or two, and performance impacting / security related issues will be patched with high priority. Larger feature sets and enhancements will be added when development resources are available (see the Roadmap section for an outline of planned features). lua-resty-waf is compatible with the master branch of lua-resty-core. The bundled version of lua-resty-core available in recent releases of OpenResty (>= 1.9.7.4) is compatible with lua-resty-waf; versions bundled with older OpenResty bundles are not, so users wanting to leverage resty.core will either need to replace the local version with the one available from the GitHub project, or patch the module based off this commit.

SpookFlare - Loader, dropper generator with multiple features for bypassing client-side and network-side countermeasures

  •    Python

SpookFlare has a different perspective to bypass security measures and it gives you the opportunity to bypass the endpoint countermeasures at the client-side detection and network-side detection. SpookFlare is a loader/dropper generator for Meterpreter, Empire, Koadic etc. SpookFlare has obfuscation, encoding, run-time code compilation and character substitution features. So you can bypass the countermeasures of the target systems like a boss until they "learn" the technique and behavior of SpookFlare payloads. f-stack - F-Stack is an user space network development kit with high performance based on DPDK, FreeBSD TCP/IP stack and coroutine API

  •    C

With the rapid development of Network Interface Cards the poor performance of data packet processing with the Linux kernel has become the bottleneck in modern network systems. Yet, the increasing demands of the Internet's growth demand a higher performant network processing solution. Kernel bypass has emerged to catch more and more attention. There are various similar technologies such as: DPDK, NETMAP and PF_RING. The main idea of kernel bypass is that Linux is only used to deal with control flow; all data streams are processed in user space. Therefore, kernel bypass can avoid performance bottlenecks caused by kernel packet copying, thread scheduling, system calls, and interrupts. Furthermore, kernel bypass can achieve higher performance with multi-optimizing methods. Within various techniques, DPDK has been widely used because of it's more thorough isolation from kernel scheduling and active community support. To deal with the increasingly severe DDoS attacks the authorized DNS server of Tencent Cloud DNSPod switched from Gigabit Ethernet to 10-Gigabit at the end of 2012. We faced several options: one is to continue to use the original network stack in the Linux kernel, another is to use kernel bypass techniques. After several rounds of investigation; we finally chose to develop our next generation of DNS server based on DPDK. The reason is DPDK provides ultra-high performance and can be seamlessly extended to 40G, or even 100G NIC, in the future.

NAXSI - High performance, low rules maintenance WAF for NGINX

  •    C

NAXSI means Nginx Anti XSS & SQL Injection. NAXSI is an open-source, high performance, low rules maintenance WAF for NGINX. Technically, it is a third party nginx module, available as a package for many UNIX-like platforms. This module, by default, reads a small subset of simple (and readable) rules containing 99% of known patterns involved in website vulnerabilities. For example, <, | or drop are not supposed to be part of a URI.
