zabbix - Zabbix custom scripts and auto-install

  •    Shell

The closest we are from reality, the better we are. Real-time is strongly suggested in the development of those scripts. Real-time might not always be the best approach due to latency to get data, cron jobs might be an alternative. But! most of the cronjobs behaviors can also be emulated through well thoughts scripts and temp files.

openFrameworks - openFrameworks is a community-developed cross platform toolkit for creative coding in C++

  •    C++

docs has some documentation around OF usage, per platform things to consider, etc. You should definitely take a look in there; for example, if you are on OSX, read the osx.md. apps and examples are where projects go -- examples contains a variety of projects that show you how to use OF, and apps is where your own projects will go. libs contains the libraries that OF uses, including the openframeworks core itself. addons are for additional functionality that's not part of the core. export is for DLLs and dylibs that need to be put in each compiled project. The scripts folder has the templates and small scripts for automating OF per platform. project generator is a GUI based tool for making new projects - this folder is only there in packaged releases. One idea that's important is that OF releases are designed to be self-contained. You can put them anywhere on your hard drive, but it's not possible to mix different releases of OF together, so please keep each release (0.8.0, 0.8.1) separate. Projects may generally work from release to release, but this is not guaranteed. Because OF is self-contained, there's extensive use of local file paths (ie, ../../../) throughout OF. It's important to be aware of how directories are structured. A common error is to take a project and move it so that it's a level below or above where it used to be compared to the root of OF. This means that links such as ../../../libs will break.

fossasia-communities - FOSSASIA API Files of Communities in Asia

  •

The FOSSASIA.net project is an initiative to bring the Asian Free and Open Source Software and OpenTech community together and foster cooperation. We make it easy to find communities and projects on a map with links to the websites, social media channels, and automatically updated info from community blogs. The use of the FOSSASIA-API enables us to collect the data of communities in a decentralized way. This is important to us, as it keeps communities in control. They do not depend on our infrastructure and could potentially setup their own service. Step by Step from API Generator to the your community listing on FOSSASIA.net.

glbinding - A C++ binding for the OpenGL API, generated using the gl.xml specification.

  •    C++

glbinding is a cross-platform C++ binding for the OpenGL API. glbinding leverages modern C++11 features like enum classes, lambdas, and variadic templates, instead of relying on macros; all OpenGL symbols are real functions and variables. It provides type-safe parameters, per feature API header, lazy function resolution, multi-context and multi-thread support, global and local function callbacks, meta information about the generated OpenGL binding and the OpenGL runtime, as well as tools and examples for quick-starting your projects. Based on the OpenGL API specification (gl.xml) glbinding is generated using python scripts and templates that can be easily adapted to fit custom needs.

Knockout

  •    Javascript

##THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN RETIRED! ###(Do you want it?) My sincerest apologies to everyone who has been waiting on some kind of response to issues and/or PRs on this project. Writing open source software is something I love to do - but the unfortunate reality is that I only have so much time to spread between my various projects after I focus on the things that matter the most to me. I'm no longer using KnockoutJS on a daily basis (haven't been for a while), and if I were on a KO project, I'd be using RequireJS and an approach like what my friend Ryan Niemeyer recommends (to load external templates). This template engine extension was created for an internal intranet site where multiple round trips and non-bundling of dependencies wasn't really a problem. If you are building public facing sites, I highly recommend looking at Ryan's recommendations, and use a more substantial loader & module setup (like RequireJS), or have a build step that concats your templates into your host page(s) before deployment, etc. If you are an active member of the KO OSS "community", and want to take over this project, I'm happy to hand it off to you. Just get in touch with me on twitter to start the conversation.

bitbucket-backup - A python script that will backup all your bitbucket repos locally (both git and mercurial)

  •    Python

This python script will backup all of your bitbucket repos (both mercurial and git) locally. If the repository does not exist locally the repo will be cloned to the <local_backup_location>. If the repo does exist locally an hg pull will be run for mercurial repos, an git remote update will be run for git repos. Username/password, or OAuth credentials, are needed to access the bitbucket api to get a repo listing. At this time it is not used to do the clone/update. Clone/update requires that your ssh keys have been uploaded to bitbucket.
