mobx-react-lite - Lightweight React bindings for MobX based on React 16.8 and Hooks
This is a next iteration of mobx-react coming from introducing React hooks which simplifies a lot of internal workings of this package. Class based components are not supported except using directly in class render method. If you want to transition existing projects from classes to hooks (as most of us do), you can use this package alongside the mobx-react just fine. The only conflict point is about the observer HOC. Subscribe to this issue for a proper migration guide.
MobX is a battle tested, simple and scalable state management library transparently applying functional reactive programming (TFRP). The Mobx design principle is very simple: Anything that can be derived from the application state, should be derived. Automatically. This includes the UI, data serialization, server communication, etc.
A set of reusable React Hooks for Firebase. Official support for Hooks was added to React Native in v0.59.0. React Firebase Hooks works with both the Firebase JS SDK and React Native Firebase, although some of the Flow and Typescript typings may be incorrect - we are investigating ways to improve this for React Native Firebase users.
SnippetStore is a application for developers to store their snippets and quickly retrieve them when needed. SnippetStore mainly focus on storing code therefor its interface is small and simple, perfect for busy developers who doesn't care about small details.
Every app is meant to be small, simple, and the same as each other. The only difference should be the state management decisions of each. The repeated React and ReactNative app is a Packing List, with the name based on the state technology.
Need to make dropdowns, lightboxes/modals/dialogs, global message notifications, or tooltips in React? React Portals provide a first-class way to render children into a DOM node that exists outside the DOM hierarchy of the parent component (react docs). This hook is also isomorphic, meaning it works with SSR (server side rendering).
useReactRouter() returns an object that contains the history, location, and match properties that would be passed as props by the HOC. A tutorial covering the design and development of this package can be found on Medium: How to Convert withRouter to a React Hook.
React Native APIs turned into React Hooks allowing you to access asynchronous APIs directly in your functional components. AppState will change between one of 'active', 'background', or (iOS) 'inactive' when the app is closed or put into the background.
This assumes you are using npm as your package manager. It is common to make react components "functional" meaning that the component is just a function instead of being a class which extends React.Component. This can be useful, but can limit usage of lifecycle hooks and other features of Component Classes. recompose helps solve this by providing Higher Order Component functions such as withContext, lifecycle, and withHandlers.
